The real reason Daniels is the starter

We have no running game without Daniels and Kelly knows that. His passing is mediocre at best. If we had a legit running game from RB’s like most teams, Nuss would be QB. Daniels is the only running game we have.

Flip it. A good passing game can open the run as well. It is not just one way

If Nuss comes in slinging the shite out of the ball downfield, the running game opens up.

No you have no running game because the QB sucks at passing and no one is going to drop defenders back to play it. Daniels is the limiting factor and his ability to run frankly isn't so great that he needs to keep the ball in his hands the entire game.
He seems to only know one type of playing style- HERO BALL. He doesn't know how to get other guys involved and hes not going to.

We have no running game because we have no real passing game. You can stack the box all game knowing Daniels will tuck it and run when his first read isn’t open.

Well we’ll see how the season goes on. But if his accuracy doesn’t get better and he’s missing open men, and a change isn’t made……. the Les Miles comparisons will explode in regards to the stubbornness of making a qb change.

The crap running game is also a product of defenses stacking the box and keying on Jayden’s legs. The disappointing thing is Denbrock can’t consistently spread teams out to loosen up the middle. You see flashes of creativity on RPOs and screens, but it’s like those are scripted and he just falls back into the same play calls.

No running game? Give credit to Florida State defense. Running game will blossom next week and beyond. Other than Alabama, this will be most physical team played this year.

I think it’s a simple reason. He is the most experienced. We are learning that Brian Kelly values that, and is not much of a risk taker with personnel.

Daniels will have 400 yrds passing & 100 yrds rushing against Grambling next week & all these local untalented radio sports hacks will once again be on their knees for the guy.
