I've noticed that Coach Paul M. is keeping him in the lineup when others get substituted.
Good for Paul

Either way, Duplantis, Mangum, and Furniss will be top 3 in the SEC in hits. It'll be cool that both Duplantis and Furniss played against Mangum during his Mississippi State career.

With Smith, Watson, Cabrera, and Beloso already showing power and ability to hit to both sides, LSU is offensively terrifying.
99 hits & 92 runs in 8 games thus far. Yikes!
Duplantis tops Mangum with more AB’s.

Well he has to if dup has a shot. Mangum has 3 more at bats this year and 2 more walks.

We have 99 hits? That’s nuts. Will update OP in a sec. For reference
Duplantis : 16 hits, 23 RBI, .457 Avg
Mangum : 13 hits, 8 RBI, .342 Avg

Can this get a season long sticky with per game (or weekly) updates?

Going to be exciting to keep up with this

Todd Walker had 310 hits over 3 seasons. FYI.

I’m giddy just thinking about when they are 2 hits away from each other either when postseason starts. This might be my favorite stat line to follow in baseball this year

He would have smashed the record obviously. But these kids staying for 4 years means something as well I think

Mangum will be older than his mom by the time he leaves Moo St.

Updates will happen after every LSU midweek game and I will group the weekend series. I’m updating the one on the sec rant so I will just do this one as well. As to the sticky, I highly doubt it

Can this get a sticky or whatever throughout the year?

how many hits for each? I’ll go:
Jake Mangum : 365
Antoine Duplantis : 370
Depends, do you include hits all the way through Omaha or do hits through end of regular season only count?
