If anyone is going to break Eddy Furniss's record, I hope it's Duplantis

Great to see he has closed the gap a little

Yea. I think State has probably faced better pitching up to this point though. The sad thing about it if you’re Mangum is that Duplantis might only beat him because LSU goes farther in the season than State, but I guess that’s the way the cookie crumbles

State has a good team this year, don't be surprised to see them make a deep run.

I hope Dup takes the hits record. Really nice to have the kid for another year. It takes players like him to win championships.

Oh I personally think that State could make the CWS. I just don’t think they are as good as us lol

Mangum bats 2 spots higher in their batting order than Duplantis does in ours. If the teams have similar scoring averages and wins, mangum will get more at bats than Duplantis. Let’s hope we have a higher scoring/batting average as a team to even if out.

That is a fair point. I think the extra games from winning the College World Series should be enough to overcome that though

Hes the new Sikes Orvis. Making the most of his 12th year of eligibility. Minus the morbid obesity.

Last season Mangum played on a Miss St team that won a regional, won a super regional and played 4 games in Omaha. LSU lost in a regional after 4 games.

It all evens out....

I'll be slightly triggered if it isn't Dupes that takes the record. I want that record to stay home.

We look to have a badass offense this year. I hope that means a shite ton of at bat's for Dupes.

The one thing that seems to be going in Dups favor so far is that he has found his power this year. If he can keep that up and some of his lineouts and flyouts from last year turn into homeruns, he could legitimately bat around .350. In which case with a legitimate postseason run I would definitely think he wins it.
