It’s better for LSU if he doesn’t play. It’s going to be a pointless bowl game, let Nuss prepare as the starter and see what we’ve got with him.

I thought this was a thread about me, because I definitely have not said Jayden Daniels won’t play in a bowl game.

So, is it just me and Jayden, or are there others? BTW, I’m not going to speak for her, but I’m fairly sure my wife never said that either.

He should not play. He should protect his health and draft status.

If he were my son I would advise him to do what his heart tells him to do. I would tell him that I am ok with either choice and think most people would be as well.

Jayden Daniels does not let fear guide him. He lays it on the line and smiles no matter what happens.

I really love the kid for that attitude.

If he doesn’t play LSU will lose any bowl matchup due to their poor defense.

I don’t think JD nor Nabers will allow that to happen.

Both players are true blue team players who enjoy tearing up defenses.

I have posted this in other threads but one more won’t hurt. The NCAA no longer counts a bowl game in a players redshirt status. It’s truly an exhibition.

Hes a competitor.

People have become accustomed to the soft athletes of the modern age. Jayden is a competitor and it would kill him not to play

No, we won't. Even if he plays it's likely they alternate him and Nuss like last year in some way.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure no Heisman winner has ever skipped the bowl game after winning the award.

I don’t see him being the first.

Got downvoted but no correction lol

The pros have lots of film on Daniels. They don't need one more game to evaluate him. Everyone knows he will be drafted, it is just a matter of how high and how big a signing bonus. Believe it or not he will have an agent who is touch with the various teams to determine whether he should take the risk or not. Even if he personally wants to it will be a business decision. Remember who started the opting out of the bowl game? It was an LSU player by the name of Fournette. Perhaps Jayden should ask him if he regrets it or not.

Yep until the Bama hit and watching another first rounder snap his leg. He is a first rounder he should not play. Bowl games are just a week of fun to the kids, they don't put that much stock into them..

Why would he play in a meaningless Senior bowl and not a real bowl? He wants to get his draft stock up with any chance he can. He will play every opportunity he gets

The Senior Bowl is all about the practices. It’s basically a week-long showcase in front of NFL scouts and coaches. When it comes to boosting draft stock, I would argue that Senior Bowl practices are way more valuable than regular bowl game film.

Daniels does strike me as the type to play in the bowl game, but the way things are going nowadays I’m not surprised if anyone chooses to sit out. Regardless it’s his decision, and I think he’s done more than enough to deserve our respect either way.

Selfishly want him to play but 100% understand why he wouldn't. This may be his only chance to grab the bag. No telling waht the future holds. Not worth the risk.

I think he will play. If he doesn’t all the better for next year preparations.
