Must be way to young to remember our final fours and elite 8s. Now a win in the trny is recognized as elite. I'll get down votes because the cult is deep supporting him...butbit is true.

I was too young to go to any games for the '81 run. But I remember just fine being there in person beating Purdue in double OT and Anthony Wilson's buzzer beater against Memphis St. during the '86 Final Four run. And cursing at the TV as a kid with the Bobby Knight frickery and Nikita Wilson missed turnaround at the buzzer in '87 Elite Eight. And making the trip to Indy for Final Four game against UCLA in '06.

I remember it all bitch, and Will Wade will get LSU back to the promised land. And reminder, he's only 43.

Yeah we are all laughing at you.

How much better was the great Dale brown? Have you looked at anything or is this all just your feelings?

How many years until Dale made ncaa tournament? 7th
How many years until Wade made ncaa torment? 3rd

How many ncaa tournament appearances has Wades team made in first 12 years as a head coach? 8 appearances
How many ncaa tournament appearances has dales team made in first 12 years as a head coach? 4 appearances

How many university teams as a head coach did the great Dale brown coach at? 1 lsu
How many university teams as a head coach did the wade coach at? 5 Chattanooga, Virginia commonwealth, lsu, mcneese, nc state

How many different university teams as a head coach did the great Dale brown coach make a ncaa tournament? 1 lsu
How many different university teams as a head coach did Wade coach make a ncaa tournament? 4, Virginia commonwealth, lsu, mcneese, nc state

How many years on average did it take Coach wade to start from scratch as a new head coach at a new university and make it to a ncaa tournament? Average is less then first year 1year!!!
How many years did it take the Great Dale brown to start from scratch as a new head coach at a new university and make it to a ncaa tournament? 8years! and this was at a different time no reminding

By every single metric Wade is better when actually looking at time and results. I hope you quit following the team or get tf on the band wagon

Dale has 13 tournament appearances in 25 years! 52% of the time
Wade has 8 tournament appearances in 12 years! 67% of the time

If we just count lsu
Dale has 13 tournament appearances in 25 years! For 52% of the time!
Wade has 3 tournament appearances in 5 years! For 60% of the time

And one of the years he didn’t make it he was going to be a 3-4 seed at minimum but they canceled the post season!!

So if everyone is being completely honest Wade has made a tourney 9 times out of 12 seasons for 75% of the time regardless of university or 4 out of 5 seasons at lsu for 80% of the time

You people are crazy or just dumb

Compare Wade's first 5 years at LSU to Dale's. Then try to imagine the next 20 after that with Wade based on his performance EVERYWHERE he has coached.

BTW I go back to 1977 with LSU football and basketball. I grew up in the 80s LOVING Dale Brown and LSU basketball. So there is zero Dale hate coming from me.

Outside of Will Wade, LSU basketball has been totally dead as of late. The guy is an amazing fit for LSU. On top of that, he enthusiastically WANTS to be here. Considering LSU had zero good coaching prospects, Will Wade wanting to come back was literally the best case scenario we could ask for. I don't quite know what it is, but Wade and LSU just makes sense. His personality and energy go perfectly for the unique culture and fanbase we have.

I can't wait for him to get a few years of program building under his belt here again. I have very little doubt that we will be in much better shape than we were on track for without him.
