LOL at the people nominating guys from the 2007 team. Don't try TOO hard.

If we're going recent, why not Patrick Fisher? There's not many positions underrated as much as punter, and Patrick was the best punter in CFB last year and a HUGE part in our title.

And I would say Chevis Jackson and Jonathon Zenon, also. At least this season./

That was Todd McClure, but yes, good suggestion.

Todd and DJ Shockley of the Falcons had bet this year for the LSU/UGA game that which ever team won the other player had to wear that teams jersey, needless to say Todd had to wear a DJ Schockley UGA jersey that day.

herb tyler definitely deserves mention. Does anyone know what he is doing these days? also i think randall gay was a really solid cornerback when he was here. he never made mistakes and made a lot of playe he never started though bc just got stuck behind 2 All-Sec Caliber Corners (Daniels and Webster) He has made a nice career for himself and the pros and has been the most consistent conerback for the saints this year (although that isn't saying much).

Rohan Davy, Sat the bench, When he got his chance he proved he was a warrior. IMO he was the begining of all the good things that came LSU,s way

Norman Hodgins.

If you've never heard of him, the underrated thing probably applies. Norman did well for the Tigers.

Kevin Mawee because he has turned out to be a great all pro.

He played every O line position and he never got to be part of a winning team when he was here.

What an amazing story he is.

I was going to say Brian Kinchen

All SEC, was a 12th round pick in 1988.

Then 15 years later in 2004, wins a Super Bowl.

Merry Christmas to all Tiger fans.

I say David Woodley was the most underrated LSU football player ever. He was in the shadow of Steve Ensminger and never truly appreciated by most fans until Don Shula found him good enough to QB the Dolphins. He was similar to Matt Flynn; nothing flashy, just got the job done.

Alan Faneca. He was 2nd team all-American his last year @ LSU, but he was never flashy or loud; just did his job. When the Steelers drafted him in first round many pundits saw it as a reach. Me, too. One of the best, most respected NFL players for a decade.

Brah, there are douchebags on this site that said Flynn would have lead us to NC in 2006.

among Tiger fans, that would be Jimmy Taylor and Warren Capone.

Taylor was an NFL HOF and Capone was a 1st team all-american LB back in the 70's. I hardly ever hear about those guys when LSU fans talk about the all-time greats.
