First loss to FSU. Then I got soft and started making excuses for him/team. Then second loss to FSU rinse and repeat. Dude took the joy out of my tradition.

It was extremely gay, but I remember him saying he was asked by the recruits to do that and he said something like when a 5* asks you to do something, what are you gonna do? I never thought he had the personality do even do something like that based on his ND days. He tried I guess.

Les Miles was a hell of a good coach and funny dude. His time was up after about 2013, but from 2005 until 2013 he did some great stuff. His teams were talented, tough as nails, and highly successful. He is the third best coach at LSU in my lifetime going back to, and including, Charlie Mac. Only Saban and Arnsparger were better, imo, and Arnsparger is a controversial pick, because he didn’t win a championship.

Yep. I couln't quite put my finger on it up until that point. I knew his teams seemed underprepared for openers, and his adjustments & coach hires were always reactive rather instead of proactive. But after that presser I knew we were looking at a man that was okay with mediocrity...either he didn't fully understand the expectation of the job, or had already checked out.
It was opposite of how Saban operated. Saban said he was always be hard on his team after a win so they didn't get too high, and easy on them after a loss so they didn't let it derail their season. Kelly was too happy with mediocre wins to coach in the SEC.
