Only one player on this team that may make an nba roster. If Reid develops, he could be #2.

They have average talent. Tenn, Ky, AU, etc have a lot more. Not even going to name Gonzaga, Kansas, Baylor, Duke

The potential sanctions has hurt recruiting the last couple years. We are getting back on track with out falling off the map. That’s a compliment to W.W.

He can recruit shooters, he’s proven that with cam Thomas, smart, etc. he can recruit athletes, he can coach defense (this years team) and offense (last three years) It’s just being able to healthy, stay the course, it will come together.

People mistake athleticism, which LSU has in abundance, with basketball skills. .

I think Murray could develop into an NBA player as well.

Yea Murray has all the tools to be an NBA player. He just needs the years under his belt. Can you imagine a SR leading Murray for LSU?! He will be a beast floor general

Murray has that Garrett Temple vibe to me, and could have a decent NBA career on par IMO

Hurt recruiting? Wade had the #8 and #4 ranked classes the past 2 years.

It was always going to be a rebuilding year, losing your best scorer for the season was devastating, but the early success reset Expectations for a lot of folks.

The SEC was also extremely good this season. In previous years, this was a 12 or 13 conference win squad.

The main reason that class was ranked number 4 is now in the NBA balling out.

It is funny how people think because Wade is a good recruiter that it somehow makes this roster really talented.

I’ve said it all year. This team starting the season had no clear cut NBA player (once Miller went out).

Tari has developed into an NBA player. Now compare that other rosters in the SEC.

If this team gets a 6 seed and makes the second weekend it will have overachieved. The reason we have done as well with the talent we have is because of the coaching decision to put the emphasis on defense.

Of course to acknowledge this would require people to give Wade credit. There are idiots on this board who think all he can do is buy players and sit on the bench as a cheerleader.

Correct, this should not be overlooked.

I said before this season I thought this was Wade’s least talented group since his first year. Not that this team doesn’t have talent. It absolutely does. Just not as much when compared to the prior 3 season. And that was BEFORE Miller was lost for the season.

The guard play has been inconsistent, at its very best. That’s why the offense has struggled so much. It relies heavily on the guards being able to create off ball screens.

If the guards can give them two solid games next week LSU is good enough to make it to the second week of the tournament. If not, they are likely going home in the first round unless they get a really favorable match up.

I think when it’s all said and done Murray could be a first round pick. He checks every box. Two way player, athletic, great size, smart. Can shoot the ball and put it on the floor, can defend multiple positions, etc etc.

Gaines has the talent to play in the NBA.

I’m excited about this team next year if we can avoid injuries and have someone step up as a real 3pt threat

LSU has had top 15 recruiting classes for several years, talent isn't the problem.

Unless you think the talent is extremely overrated.

So you're saying we have average talent with 4 top 10 classes? That's all on coaching buddy

Yep, LSU is one of the more talented teams in the conference. shite, the nation.

So let me see if I have this right.

Reid may see an NBA roster if he develops.

Out of Eason, Pinson, Gaines, Day, Murray, O'Neal, and Wilkinson only one might (your words) make an NBA team?

How about a ban bet that more than one of those guys makes a roster at some point?

Now do Arkansas. Hell the Razorbacks roll out a 5’2” guard for good minutes each game. Point being LSUs talent is on par with the Razorbacks but the record vs them isn’t good.
