You can delete the posts all you want but we WILL do our best to convince SEC Commisioner Mike Slive to NOT renew cBS's contract if you continue to slight the Tiger Nation... We are proud people down here in Louisiana and we like things OUR way!! Change LSU/Auburn back to a night game and you will WIN the hearts of the most passionate fan base in the country!

To the OP (and I don't intend to read all 13 pages intervening):

are LSU fans really that dumb?

This is an incredibly aloof and shallow premise on your part. I love night games, I don't drink, and 500 year old oak trees start regularly too.

It's funny how they think their tantrum will change anything. It only serves to provide proof of what everyone says about our fan base. Bunch of whiny bitches.

This is pretty ridiculous. I love night games, but if 2:30 is when national television wants to show us, then so be it. I'll manage. And so will everyone else. CBS is certainly not out to get us since our success makes them richer.

yet we cant afford to send 50 band members 5 fricking hours down the road to alabama.

that's bullshite. A 100 person band is going. Who the hell said otherwise?

What's the fricking difference if it's a 50 or 100 piece Pep Band? They're still sitting in the stands at halftime and will not be generating as much noise as the full GBFTL.

It's a shameful abomination that this university can't send the full band to at least one S.E.C. game.

BTW, why can't the entire band car pool to Tuscaloosa? A game that big, everybody should be there.

Money, money, money, money, money, money, money. If this is what you worship, I feel sorry for you. Pathetic.

Purely anecdotal.

Maybe a crazy night game would have inspired all the recruits to commit!

Oh Great! So you're saying we don't need those $40 campus parking fees per game, right? This is great news. Oh wait...

(The one thing the geniuses in our fan base fail to realize that the 2:30 CBS game is shown from Coast to Coast vs the regional broadcast games minus a few year a year that ABC shows)... This is true like it or not. In the SF Bay Area we will see every game this year but NWST and WKU...LSU is on far more times a year out here than either stanford or cal.

If they didn't pick up our game vs Auburn, would we fall in the polls?

the tradition is not getting drunk all day, the tradition is night games.

Yep, not everybody drinks. Many of us militant traditionalists just don't like the atmosphere of day games because there's not that unmistakable electricity or mystique in the air.

All of the DGD's (Day Game Defenders) don't give a shite about the infamous L.S.U. tradition of playing football at night. It's all about the money and nationwide publicity/exposure.

BTW, everybody in the country knows about LSU. We don't NEED any additional publicity. They know who we are and what we're all about.

Yeah yeah yeah. I know all about the S.E.C. contract with C.B.S. and there is nothing L.S.U.
can do to stop them from moving the games.

There are multiple things that can be done, but nobody in the administration or athletic department has the balls to take the necessary action.

I wanted AU to be at nite too.

But unfortunately, million dollar tv deals prevented that from happening. I'll take the multi-millions and better facilities and recruits and crystal balls. just my opinion....

I was trying to explain how dumb my friends were when they were ranting about the CBS thing earlier. God we hate them so much for choosing the best game that they paid prime money to air.

As much as I wanted it to be a nite game, we'll still rape AU. No worries. I'll party after.

Think of it this way…it's getting closer to the time of year where at the beginning of the 4th quarter, Dan Borne gets to say "Ladies and Gentlemen…the sun has found its home in the Western Sky…and it is Saturday Night in Death Valley."

That right there pumps up the crowd more than just about anything. Gave me chills the first time I heard it.
