That's what great programs do to good programs.

The last time I saw a Les Miles coached LSU team do that to an opponent was the VA Tech game in 2007.

I quit watching after halftime. I've been a fan since the early 90's and I have never felt as apathetic towards this team as I do now.

This was not a rout - it was a close game, in which Bama made the clutch plays and we didn't.

Don't give me that good/great shite

Putting aside the negatiger vs positiger debate, the last few minutes of that game were very hurtful to watch. Seeing the team quit like that on Mett, the other team imposing their will on us and the general feeling of helplessness isn't something we're used to as fans. I hope this is a catalyst for improvement.

Yes. But. ONE play made THAT much of a difference??? Miles BETTER get his shite together. I am tired of defending him. Saban >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Miles. And its not that close as far as execution and getting the team ready to play EVERY game.

The most disappointing part of the game was the last series. Maybe Miles shouldn't have sent Zach out there but I'd imagine Mett wanted in, to continue to try to prove himself. The OL bailing on him was awful but the worse part was after Mett's injury. It looked like only one guy half-heartedly tried to help him. The trainers were apparently taking a picnic break. The biggest tell was when Zach got on his feet he purposely walked away from Miles.

I don't think so, imo. I'm afraid there is a bigger problem than talent gap, recruiting and coaching calibre.

The team quits any game they go down by double digits in and half the team quit the entire program last year to take their chances in the pros.

It's pathetic.

I've watched it twice. Bama just made the plays.

1. Stripping Copeland at the goal line
2. Perfectly executed fake punt
3. Disciplined last line of defense on kickoff coverage

And we made too many critical mistakes:

1.Taking the ball out of Hill's hands on the goal line
2. Botched snap
3. Mett misses wide open TE in end zone

The "domination" only occurre once all these plays had been made, and the game was decided. However, I am just as disgusted as the rest of you by the way the O-line gave up on Mett on the last series.

One thing I find interesting is that the officiating was really good until the game was pretty much decided. The two bad calls, the "late hit" on McCarron and Loston's hit on their receiver who wasn't down, came in non critical situations.

I've seen this talk of the team "quitting" a lot.

Isn't is just possible we got worn down by a better team?

Do all the teams quit that we beat by 3 TDs?

Why is that the assumption?

So what happened exactly? Mett was sacked, no one went out there to check on him, then Miles tried to talk to him after and he walked off?

It was 17-14 Alabama and LSU was getting the ball in the 2nd half and you quit watching at that point?

I don't think you really deserve to be given information in the very least.

Are you kidding? Bama punted on their first two possessions and never again. LSU only gained 67 yards in the first half, and 50 of those came on our first drive that ended in a field goal. Take out all the mistakes in the first half and we still lose this game by double digits.

The first half we looked like the better team by a bit, but were hampered by mistakes. The second half we looked like we didn't belong on the field with them. It was a rout and a domination.
