Everywhere I look, nationally and locally, everyone is just kind of glazing over this game and putting LSU in the playoff.

Georgia is a 1 loss SEC team, ranked 4th, has a great defense, and this is essentially a home game for them where they will have at least 60-70% of the crowd.

It doesn't matter what the media and fans think, it only matters what the team thinks, and I'm sure they are laser focused.

But does anyone think the lack of concern by just about anyone over this game and already talking playoff is a bit odd?

I guarantee O has the team focused. Fans are looking forward but the team probably isn’t.

In O I trust.

It's because most of us haven't stopped drinking yet and will continue through until Sunday morning.

Georgia is not an offensive juggernaut, and now their 2 best receivers are out - albeit one for just one-half. their best runner was injured last week but might play.

No one believes they can hold us under 30 points.

bottom line - they won't be able to score enough.

everyone knows they have a fighting chance to win, but no one is betting on it.

Chicken has not yet implemented a 24 hour rule so it’s cool.

I'm concerned. IMO, Georgia presents similar challenges as those posed by Auburn, so concern is warranted.

That being said, I still think it's a win, as long as the team plays at its full potential (as it did this past Saturday, for example).

Too much on the line to let up now, so I expect a great game and a hard-won victory on Saturday.

The media narrative since the Alabama game has been that LSU has already proved they belong and that losing the SEC Championship game will only effect seeding.

The media has been focusing on that 4th playoff spot if Georgia loses to LSU and yes, seems to be assuming they will. But Georgia is a very formidable opponent and absolutely could win this game. I think you'll see more hype and analysis this week

With Burrow, I don't question the focus of this team.

Well, most of us fans and media believe that even if we lose to UGA in the SECCG, we are in the playoffs. LSU would be 12-1 with their only loss to a top 4 team. Besides an undefeated OSU or Clemsom, who else has that resume? Not Oklahoma, Utah, Baylor or anyone else in the NCAA.

I agree, this will be a very tough game. I've been concerned about a bit of a letdown after A&M and still am. Hard to play lights out 2 weeks in a row.

All signs point to LSU winning.

But crazier shite has happened in SECCGs before.

I'm sure all signs pointed to UT winning the 2001 SECCG, especially when Davey got sidelined.

That's why we love college football.

That is because LSU is in the playoffs even with a loss.

I don’t think people are taking them lightly. But it would be a major upset if they won.

They have a good defense but they really have not played against good offenses either.

I also think playing indoor on turf really helps LSU.

UGA will slow us down but I doubt it will be enough for them to win.

People forget that game was an arse whipping. We absolutely dominated and killed ourselves. Only game all season like that.

We outgained them by 230 yards, were 0 for 2 in the red zone on 4th down, missed an XP. That game EASILY could have been 14-20 points.

I wouldn’t bet on that.

Sure we might get in with a loss Saturday but it is far from a sure thing. Especially with a committee that can’t make up its mind what the real criteria are.

People getting up in arms over fans running their mouths is comical. They will be ready for the game, it's just that simple.

Now, can Georgia win, of course. We will find out Saturday.
