The tight T-Shirts are silly and girly. He is pretty self-absorbed and thinks his personal feces is not oderific. But that describes most people in media, especially ones who came up through podcasting.

He takes unfair heat over his JP Poll because people just don't understand how it works.

The main problem is that many of the things he says come with a level of plausible deniability, so he can claim he never actually said it when it blows up. That's why I've always liked Cowherd. He's wrong a lot and is an idiot, but he owns his analysis and admits when he screwed up regularly.

He does have bad takes but he also is a pretty good personality that's pretty down to earth. I like him outside his horrible takes at times. I enjoy how he roasts the ratings every week and he's generally 100% right on them at that time. Mostly because he points out the hypocrisy in the ratings system and he makes fun of how it's heavily biased despite being in the media himself. More his point though, he wants a system where body of work rewards the teams that should be respected and I 100% agree with him.

Pate has great sources and his show used to be great when he stuck to actually talking ball. But that’s rare now.

He’s always been too fast to jump on a fricking soap box as if he’s the lone champion of college football. Calling anyone who disagrees with him a casual and sicking his minions on them is pathetic and insecure. He was proven spectacularly wrong on the initial playoff expansion that he bitched endlessly about.

The problem now is that he chose the money over organic growth using better content. 90% of what he talks about now are his bullshite polls and things that only matter to degenerate gamblers. And he’s gone from one sponsor to a ton and now has to do a bunch of ads.

It’s his show and his life, so take the money run. But- don’t keep acting like some little independent anymore. He isn’t. He shills for subs to his channel as if that will keep it free when he’s already sold out and has the backing to never have to do paid subs. Just go all-in and be what you are now.

Also- Bussin with the Boys just fricking sucks. Him doing 2 shows a week with those clowns will drag him down. That shite’s not even worth listening to.

He just got done saying his subs are way up. I’m sure that’s due to all of the new exposure from selling out. But the people who used to listen and got his show going and growing will start dropping off because he’s not as good of a listen as he used to be if you are just a fan and not on speed dial with a bookie.

Click Bait Pate is what people started to call him. He’s now jokes with it and calls himself that. He thinks he’s joking, but everyone else thinks it’s true.

"A bama fan"? His girlfriend went to bama & worked in its athletic dept. Safe to assume he did not want want to make any waves for her by being unbiased about her team. A former listener, I stopped when his show went "corporate" & he became focused on his corporate partners. When a podcaster goes corporate, he "owes" someone something; he is no longer an independent voice.
