At triple-A Round Rock now.

Jake Latz - Round Rock Express

Came in with Godfrey and Lange in '15 but hardly ever made it to the mound. May have gotten lost behind Travonte Valentine?

58 K in 39.2 IP is impressive, but he is catching a lot of bats based on his ERA over 5 and the. 275 BAA.

Maybe can be a spot reliever in the bigs.

Surprisingly he’s one of eight players from the 2015 team to make it to the majors for at least one game.

Why does his college say Kent State? That's hilarious if he is doing it on purpose.

I’m trying to remember the the story with him… Didn’t he come in with an injury, LSU doctors told him he needed surgery, he and his parents refused because they were into holistic medicine or something, so he sat out for 2 years and then ended up having the surgery anyway?

I went to a Round Rock Express game back in May and Latz came in as a reliever.

He walked 3 straight batters, then gave up a grand slam, and was pulled without recording an out.

One of the batters he walked was a former Tiger, Hunter Feduccia.

Tough outing for the young man. The next reliever struck out a batter so the whole stadium got $1 hotdogs for the rest of the inning. Not a bad night overall.

Was the promotion: Three consecutive walks, a grand slam and a strikeout to open the inning for a discount hot dog??

It was just if the RR Express get a strikeout in the 7th inning. Latz didn’t pull through so the next guy did.
