the 3 point shot has ruined the game. i watched some of the game today. there was no offense. both teams just came down and threw up 3 pointers.
professional basketball is just a step up from professional wrestling as a sport. college basketball isn't even a real sport anymore.
running and jumping and heaving 3 pointers. what could be more boring?

The craziest shyt is watching professional players/teams shoot 3s with no teammates inside the 3pt line. Then, of all the shots, nobody follows their shot for a rebound.

The problem is the players have out grown the court.
When the game was invented a 6'6" player was rare. The big guy at Kentucky can almost touch the Rim on tip toes.

The game has simply changed and I would agree not for the better. Three point shot is over used, “euro step” is traveling that never gets called, no one boxes out, free throw shooting percentages are down and mid range jump shots do not exist.

OP is exactly right. When Jordan showed the game could be a one man show...I was done. If you want to see real basketball, go watch the Celtics vs Lakers in the 80's. I haven't watched basketball in over 20 years. I couldn't name 5 NBA players if my life depended on it!

The NBA is nothing more than about 150 mini one on one games combined into a team score that produces a winner.
