I remember that game and that play in particular. I was sitting in the South End Zone and they were coming right at me that was freaking awesome. Jimmy Gilbert to Andy Hamilton touchdown. My first game was in probably 1962 because I remember seeing Jerry Stovall. He looked to be a head taller than everyone else and he had huge calves. That inspired me to get huge calves which I attained myself. The first game that I can tell you who LSU was playing was the 1966 Cotton Bowl against Arkansas who had a 21-game win streak. Our seats were down low and you could hear the guys grunting and you could hear the hits. It was a brutal physical game. It's when I became a Joe labruzzo fan for life.

87 Ole Miss in Jackson. Parents dressed me as a stormtrooper and I trick or treated at the RV’s. Tigers won big.

Washington in 1983. They came in here ranked #7 and we beat them 40-14. Wasn’t even that close.

The reason Arky fans still hate us to this day. Ruined their Back-to-back national champions!

1986. LSU over #6 Alabama, 14-10 at their house. The Arnsparger years.
It was not only the first LSU game I ever watched, but the first college football game I ever watched.
My dad was working late evenings so my grandparents were watching me. I grew up in USCw/UCLA land, so that's really all I'd ever heard of, not having been much into sports in my early years. Grandpa turned the game on and I was captivated by the guys in the purple and gold jerseys. Watched the game to the very end and have been a rabid LSU fan ever since.
Didn't grow up in the boot like most of you... but I have been die-hard since I was 8 years old and have repped LSU with pride in the 4 states I have lived in.

Live. 1973 vs Colorado

I think it was 1977, Rice 77-0. Carlos Carson went off. I was a 14 yr. Old boy scout helping fans find their seats in south end seats. I remember getting to sit on steps and watch the game after kickoff.

1970, 71, or 73, I was young and years didn’t matter, verses Rice in section 413 under the then, top section. It was a high humidity game, that some of the uninitiated could confuse with rain. Remember being happy and dry sitting under the top level of South Stadium.
And oh yeah, Tigers won and it wasn’t close.
May not remember the year, but will never forget the experience and my dad for giving it to me.
My first TV game, and very possibly the first I watched, was 1970 Ole Miss. Archie Who played with a broken arm, The Rebel band proudly played Dixie, and LSU stomped their arses 61-17 and it rained oranges.

I’m a younger guy I guess, would have been A&M back between 93 and 95, whenever it was in BR.

Very early 1970s versus Mississippi State at Memorial Stadium in Jackson. I was 4 or 5 and alarmed almost to tears when the cowbells erupted as State came onto the field. My dad, originally from Mississippi, convinced me to root for State with him while my mom and toddler sister pulled for the Tigers. Tigers won and I never pulled against them again.

I remember that one. I attended a Tulane game and and a Miss StAte game in 1968. Seems like.

IN PERSON...1967 we lost to Miami but I was a Tiger Fan for life. Still have a Pennant I bought at that game on my wall.

September 19, 1970.
Texas A&M at LSU.
A&M completes a 78 yard TD pass with 13 seconds to go to win, 20-18. Future QB Paul Lyons, playing DB, goes for the pick and not the tackle.
A&M finishes their year 2-9. A&M's first win against LSU since 1956.
And I have no love for A&M to this day.

1970 Ole Miss. We won 61-17. Archie's hand was in a cast. I believe Cassanova returned two punts for TDs, and Andy Hamilton had a monster game too.
