We had less than 40 players and started a WR at QB due to the way that Fat Moneybags handled the Orgeron termination.
At least BK recovered and got some talent back into the program to hopefully be more competitive this season.
Not sure what happens with basketball. Should we expect players like Parker Edwards to see significant floor time for the next 2 seasons?

Shaq and Maravich didn’t come to LSU because they loved the school. They were there because of the head coach. They may have grown to love the school, but that’s not why they first came. It shouldn’t shock anyone when players leave a school when the coach leaves, whatever the reason may be.

All what WW built, he tore down with his reckless approach. So you can put the blame on him. With all the players leaving, I see it as an opportunity for MM to rebuild faster. He will be able to mold “his” players that will buy in to his philosophies and not have a previous set of players to try to change the culture of and could possibly run into problems with.

Wade destroyed a program. You recruit kids from all over the place they have no idea where LSU is before they get here. So when their coach leaves they leave.

That's what happens when your head coach is completely careless and has the they'll never catch me attitude. Well he got caught. This is our reward. Thanks Will Wade! Blows my mind how people want to pin blame on everyone other than the guy that got us in this situation.
Guess all that great recruiting wasn't anything more than just money and a silver tongue. Obviously it wasn't a commitment to LSU. Funny how the sentiment changes from football to basketball. Football overwhelming opinion get them out of here because they were part of a terrible culture. Now we cry for losing most of Wade's guys that likely wouldn't have been here without a check.

They had a bunch of shooters coming in next year! They were going to be a pre-season top 10 team and consensus pick to win the SEC next year! LSU beat this year’s SEC champion on the floor because he gad LSU playing great defense for the first time since…EVER!!!

OH.... You weren't around for Dale's "FREAK" defense? Silly and crazy as it was, they beat a much better UK team on both ends of the floor. One game doesn't mean shite in both cases... It is the culture that you build, not a nice game at the beginning of the season. I really felt horrible for Will. He loves LSU but he was/is so fricking green. We were doing it better 35ish years ago. I remember CJ lived a few doors down from me. Allegedly worked for a "PR" firm in Lake Chuck during the summer and made about $30K. That was a LOT of money in 1989.... Told me he had no idea where Lake Charles was on a map. None of this shite is/was new to anyone, except maybe Will Wade?
