You expected less? It’s a different era in college athletics.

The truth is that is LSU mens hoops is not such a big deal. LSU hoops is good but nowhere near elite. I love LSU but our mens basketball program is not elite or worthy of any more adulation than Loyola Chicago and Cincinnati which have both won national titles. Hell NC State is more glorious than LSU.

Transfer portal
No penalty to transfer
Fired head coach
Probation looming

What exactly did you expect?

And we’re not an elite basketball program, never have been

You have to look at the players too for some blame. It's just an open season for college athletics. They just move with the wind now a days. Can't believe they are so much in love with the coach that if he goes, they go.

did anyone think the entire team would leave?

There was a ridiculously optimistic thread early in the season about all the players that we’d have coming back next season. The consensus of the thread was that we’d probably only lose Eason, and possibly senior Pinson. Even before Wade was shown the door, I knew that was all silly talk.

Wade is the embarrassment if you can be objective to what he got caught doing. He trashed this program.

So why are they leaving? No more money... they don't want to earn anything with the new coach... what is it?
I am guessing they wanted to be on a winning team that would be nationally ranked. Probably as simple as that and without 2 or 3 5 stars coming in they probably knew they weren't strong enough.

The irony is that if the other 2 Murray State guys commit then LSU will be a pretty solid team. Just no post-season.

As it should be.

We didn’t have a deep run and we weren’t going to have one with Wade coaching in the tournament. It literally made no difference.

Did you watch Wisconsin? They were putrid. Only really needed Wade to coach game 1; talent would have crushed Wisky.

Right. It was all the administration. WW was completely innocent and did absolutely nothing wrong.

Damn you guys that can’t admit that this was all Wades fault are pathetic

Wade used some really bad judgment.

But firing before the tourney was 100% calculated by SW.

With an amateur cheating, serve-it-on-silver-platter-to-NCAA coach en route to a show cause...what do you expect?

No one’s fault but WW. People that continue to blame admin a laughable idiots. Don’t be an arrogant, reckless fool and we aren’t in this situation. Said it once, and I’ll say it a million times. It’s called plausible deniability.

so just so we’re clear, it’s ok if we’re one of the worst D1 programs in the country as long as Pat Forde approves of our recruiting tactics? because we were there. like 5 minutes ago
