We will have a new O-line, all new WRs, and a new QB all in a new offensive system, with a QB that just started to be fully healthy.

Our defensive line will have a lot of new faces and younger players, a new but very talented LB to play in Baker's system for the first time, and new secondary players (outside of CB).

I don't think we blow anyone out of the water in our first game.

I agree that the game will be tight, but it's worth noting that Clemson is returning only 8 starters, just like LSU, so both teams will be breaking in a lot of new faces.

Of those 8 returners, only 3 return on defense. So LSU's newly built offense will be going against Clemson's newly built defense.

It would be disappointing, but I don't think anyone should be surprised if we lose game one at this point. It's an LSU tradition right now

After years of running down that lame stupid hill Dabo and his boys will dookie in their pants when they enter the REAL DEATH VALLEY. Will it be a blowout? Doubtful. New O line, new QB and receivers but it will look different than BK.

Even though all signs point to an LSU win I’m still not fully getting ahead of myself and looking past Clemson.

Winning a season opener has been an issue. I need to restore confidence. By seeing it with my eyes. I understand Kelly is gone

Go read their 1990s board Tigernet, most Clempsun fans are delusional cultists that think they are CFB bluebloods and above everyone else.

I pay attention as I grew up in Charleston and alot of my old friends are bandwagon fans. I take pleasure seeing them come back to earth like last year.

It COULD happen anything can but I have a very hard time thinking Clemson comes out of Death Valley with a W on game 1 under Kiffin at night. That place will legit shake all night. I don’t think they will be ready for just how crazy that place will be

It will be similar to Florida 07, Florida 19, Bama 12. It’s gonna be loud and it’s gonna be all night long

Man judging by my social media you’d think the whole world is praying for Kiffin to flop in his debut. Like my dawg Ed Orgeron would say FUGGGGGGGGG DEM

LSU should win, but it will be a close game....too many new things happening on both sides.

He basically said their best hope is to survive the early portion of the game, keep it low scoring, and find a way to win in the end. Said their best hope is that a team of 59 newcomers (transfers and HS recruits) isn't at their best right out the gate and that LSU might be a little overconfident

This is basically the game plan for every double digit underdog, including LSU when we have been in that situation. Just doesn't work out that often.
