There would be a very simple solution to our gripes: move the head office north to Nashville or east to Atlanta.

We need to a least start the talk to Big 12. Hopefully that will get the gump sec league office off there arse. Its a shame how much the sec screws LSU.

Move the SEC offices to Nashville or even Atlanta and I believe a lot of the issues are felt with.

how about just not letting ex alumni and members of REC be in charge of scheduling, refs, instant replay

The playoff system seems set to reward brand teams in weak conferences.

We'd rather see the Reincarnation of the Southwest Conference with ALL the Texas schools, Oklahoma, Okla.State, LSU and Arkansas........

Interesting, what good does it do to have a saber if you don't rattle it occasionally? But since Alleva had no balls, this isn't an option.

At a minimum we should use this as leverage. At the max if we don't get any concessions from SEC we should pursue another conference IF the deal is sweeter (wouldn't be hard to do imo).

The part that I really dont understand is how the other schools just seem to be ok with the Bama favoritism and office, ref, admin etc. I don't get how they are OK with what is so clearly happening in the conference. Why is LSU the only one who is even vocal about this? Crazy.

I agree hut if you threw LSU and Arkansas into it that would certainly bring it back to life.

And they need to fire every current referee and bring in an entirely new crew.

I would be more in favor of disbanding all conferences and making everyone an independent so you can play who you want

If LSU ever did anything so chickenshit as what you all propose it would take me a long time to get over the embarrassment, if I ever did

LSU is one of the strongest brands in the SEC. It isn't a question of need. This is about politics and leverage. Our AD has not been effective at lobbying our interests. I think that if we take the "nuclear" option off the table our position is weaker.

There needs to be some significant changes in the SEC and a pair of schools (one with a major brand) willing to explore other options creates negotiating leverage.

football would be fine but it would really hurt basketball and baseball.

baseball, the big 12 is much worse than the SEC

right now they are 5th in the RPI conference ranking, SEC is first. Baseball simply wouldn't be the same the big 12 is not much like the SEC. Texas has struggled lately and they are really the only big powerhouse baseball team in that conference, TCU has looked pretty good, but they probably wouldn't be top 4 in the SEC. This year the big 12 may not get a top 8 seed and will only get 1 host, possibly only two teams this year in the tourney. The SEC will likely get 3 top 8 seeds and 5 hosts. The SEC has also dominated the championship in recent years. 2009 LSU 2010 USCe 2011 USCe 2012 Arizona who beat USCe 2013 UCLA who beat MSU 2014 Vandy. So since 2009 the SEC has been in the championship series every year, going 4-3 (one year was SEC vs SEC) in those series. Leaving the SEC in baseball would be like going from the SEC in football to the ACC in football.

Basketball would hurt too the big 12 is a tough conference. Not the toughest conference out there but much more difficult than what the SEC is now, we would never win the big 12 regular season title, we probably would be lucky to finish top 3. I would be fun to be in a better conference but it may hurt our basketball team.

You have been on the rant as long as I and have way more posts and you need me to list the interests and grievances that LSU has?
