I am an LSU fan and have been since I was 9 years old in 1960. I used to pull for SEC teams always but have gotten away from that in the last 25 years.

I do not believe there is some kind of conspiracy to hurt/hinder LSU or help Alabama. BUT, most SEC employees live in the Bham area and are in constant contact with the bammers everywhere from church to golf to work. It is just natural to tacitly favor your own community when judgment calls come into play.

The absurd "bridge" fball schedules broke any bond between me and the SEC. I do not think it is feasible for LSU to leave the SEC, but I WISH it was.

Let's join the PAC-12...talk about great road trips!

Alabama and Slive got greedy. The downfall of the SEC is imminent when Miss. State is a contender for the west. This might allow Miles ten more years of ten win seasons, especially if they go to a conference playoff, what, and play 15 games per year. NFL won't like it again.

You have been on the rant as long as I and have way more posts and you need me to list the interests and grievances that LSU has?

Here is the scenario:

LSU: We have leverage and demands.

Richest and most powerful conference in college sports: What the?

LSU: Yes, no more bad calls against us when playing teams from Alabama. Also, all schedules must objectively favor us and not any team from Alabama. Also, move the conference headquarters from Alabama.

Richest and most powerful conference in college sports: (chokes on barbecued pork)

LSU: OR WE WILL MOVE TO A PITIFUL CONFERENCE WHICH WILL PROBABLY NOT EVEN EXIST IN 10 YEARS

Richest and most powerful conference in college sports:
(dies from laughter following Heimlich maneuver)

Look dudes, Alabama and Auburn are good right now. But we danced on those graves before and will do so again. When we were dominant and Alabama sucked we got borderline calls against them all the time.

You (collective you, not you as an individual Tigerinasia) just sound whiny as hell.

SEC forever, buds.

No LSU just needs to handle business on the field. Other than the screw job in 2011 to let Alabama back in the championship game LSU hasnt been screwed over in anything. Bad calls and bad breaks happen to every team. We just tend to cry and vocalize ours louder than others

Okay, sounds good. We can save money by no longer attending conference meetings. The all powerful SEC can't be influenced.

Sorry but this is business and everyone has a list of interests that they lobby for. It isn't whining. That is what Bama fans on the SEC rant use as a ploy to make legitimate school interests seem petty.

If the LSU AD is afraid of being called whiny then he should be replaced. I for one am not moved by being called whiny by a bunch of Bama fans or self conscious Tiger fans.

I am only concerned with LSU's interests and how The SEC meets those interests.

So tell me what interests does LSU have to gain by leaving?

Nobody made any of these statements during the 90s or 2000s up until now

The success of Alabama with our old coach brings out the worst in our fan base.

The SEC is doing fine, we are clearly the best conference in the country, sometimes teams who don't contend every year have a good year, it's not a sign that the SEC is falling apart. LSU had a bad year, MSU had their best year in a 5 or 6 stretch. It's a sign that the SEC is more talented top to bottom instead of just top heavy. There is a shift in SEC football, instead of LSU and Bama being well ahead of everyone else like it was late 2000s now there is more of a balance. Yes Bama won the SEC last year, but it was very clear that Bama was not leaps and bounds past everyone else like they were in 11-13.

With all due respects brothers, you are fricking clueless. I have lived among Bama people most of my life and in the middle of them now. This is probably the most corrupt fricking state in the South. They "fix" everything. They fricking fix high school games and schedules and will go to great lenghts to do it. (Think South Louisiana for a whole state with no real value on whiskey and women and replace that with Football and money.) The feds had had half the state officials under a wiretaps for 18 months. (This is really want the ATPB thread was about. Most of the knowledgeable posters were retired law enforcement FBI, judges etc from here. They thought the state was about tp be cleaned up. The Feds lost the trial after getting half a dozen to cut pleas, and Milton McGregor made it clear that if he went down he was going to being down three former Republican Governors and half the state and they backed down. (He was one of Auburn bagmen)

Please review the old post of the damn bridge schedule selcted by Bama grad and former REC member, our bowl games selected by the SEC, the Peterson video, bullshite calls last year, etc etc etc.

The first thing that Saban wants to do is to convince you the devil doesnt exist. But this shite predates Satan by 40 years. Basically we are the Florida of the 90s and tired of Bama's bullshite. But if you think this ends when Satan leaves you are fricking delusional. We need to do what is in our best interest and frick Bama. That starts first when stopping them from buying players in Louisiana. Time for O to go to work and set them up and indict some fricking car dealers in West Monroe. Convictions are not required, just send a fricking message.

and it needs to be. "Not Here mfers."

Then lets clean up Birmingham.

Why would you leave a brick home on a rock for a rickety trailer on pilings over Bayou Dularge?
