I like how Bama gets to hold down the receiver and then gets credit for the pick six. ESPN showed this play from 3-4 different angles to show how bad of a missed call this was.

Explain that. It conveniently kept their defensive TD streak alive.

It is a miracle that Reid was allowed to intercept that ball on the goal line in 11. Total fluke. Someone in black and white got in lots of trouble on that call.

The only reason that the "Game of the Century 2011" was called fairly by the refs was because the WHOLE WORLD was watching.

I'm still waiting for a bama homer to bring up an example of an obviously bad call that actually went AGAINST bama at a crucial time in a game.

We got one in 2004.

As it was in the air, LSU defender Corey Webster pushed Brown to the ground, intercepted the ball and returned it to the LSU 44 -- ending Alabama's scoring chance and seizing the momentum in a game the Tide seemed ready to steal away.

Watching ark and atm vs bama. Calls seemed to change the damn momentum of the game.

It's not how many penalties are called, it's when they're called. Watch how many good kickoff/punt returns and scoring plays are negated for LSU. Then watch how many bama drives are extended after a call on 3rd or 4th down. They will then call a false start or illegal motion against bama on a 1st down play to make up for it.

so you signed up to the board in order to post this? you obviously have an agenda. you post some irrelevant info then walk away as if you proved something? Of course the refs aren't idiots. They cover their tracks.

Suffice to say Finebaum calls the SEC's refs the best in college football & Steve Shaw, bama alum & up until 2 wks ago the League's Director of Officials, one of the most ethical people he knows. I am not one to believe in conspiracies but I remember CLM in his second yr, speaking at a Grid Iron Club luncheon, saying that in all his yrs at Okie St. he would talk to the league's office twice a yr, once in preseason to go over new rules and then at the end of the yr for a general evaluation. He then shook his head & said "here, I am calling the League office every week, and not over any gray area calls or no calls. I am talking about 4-5 blown calls a game."

It's not the number of penalties, but the timing and severity.

Any doubters just watch the last 2 minutes of the 2014 game. Ritter works in both now with head of officiating - Mr. Shaw.

They just recently set a precedent that if a player is not defenseless, then it is okay to plant the crown of your helmet directly onto their face and knock teeth out. I would bet if this happened to a bama player there would be an ejection. Stay tuned.

Dear "Doc", there are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics about penalties during 'Bama games.

You must be either purblind or from Tuscaloosa...
