Not making another thread although I’m sure there will be one. Media day is today. Jay had a long questions session and the players are talking now. Anyone else watch?

I haven't watched it yet. I've been following the writers on twitter. But I always like going back to watch it myself because you hear more instead of just relying on what they think is important enough to relay.

I started about 20’minutes late. Jared just got to the mic. He’s so big. He followed Pearson.

Jones said Primeaux hitting 97 mph. Sheesh.

Johnson finds a way to mention Primeaux in almost every interview as a guy ready to take a jump

He was a little up and down over the summer, but he struck out 14 guys in 7.1 innings in the Texas Collegiate League. That's decent.

Guidry is no longer hitting or taking infield. Focusing on pitching and putting on weight.

They haven't officially abandoned the two-way idea, but I think we're almost there.

My opinion is that his ceiling is just way higher on the mound. He's got traits currently that some MLB orgs really value and would plug him into a minor league starting rotation right away to start building him up as a starter. I think he stays in the bullpen for us this year, but if he's back next year (he's draft eligible) I think there is an effort to convert him to starter.

He says Yeskie has him working harder on locating the fastball and becoming more confident in that pitch.

Says DJ’s slider might be the best pitch on the team.

She has zero interaction unless she posts something about LSU. Sports culture reporter?? I don't even know WTF that even is, but she is probably both a perfect fit for that role and at the same time, also terrible at it.

Poor girl but she's at least trying and gotten some damn good jobs thus far. Woke arse hires and they want to know why newspapers are dying.

Jay said Yeskie and Primeaux have been meeting every morning. Sounds like Yeskie has unlocked a different level of Primeaux. Will be fun to see him on the mound this year.

He is a monster and looks like his biceps and forearms only got bigger from last season.

Jay seems to be big on him and Kling. Sounds like Jay will have a really long leash on both of them at 1B and CF to give them every chance to succeed, which I think is the correct move. They will both need to be in the lineup for this team to reach it's potential.

So he was throwing his hands at the pitches and losing power? And LSU says they can fix that by having him activate his hips? It sounds a lot like my golf swing. I wonder if they could help me too. It sounds easy enough, throw your hips at the ball and the bat/clubhead will follow. I will probably go from slicing it into the trees to duck hooking it in the water though.

If Braswell is as good defensively as they say, anything close to .300 at the plate would be great.

Yes, until he writes a story that in any way criticizes anything about LSU, then the juvenile tards on this board will be spamming just the opposite opinion. Then they'll reverse course again when a positive article comes out. Children.

If he writes something criticizing LSU it would be outside the scope of his role as a beat writer. He's there to cover news, not give opinion.

Gosh I want Bear to do so well this year. Seems like such a likeable and good dude. He's really easy to listen to and speaks well when in front of the mic
