Didn't someone mention while he was in the car, he stated that he had a gun? Honestly, i would be kicking him too and he wouldn't let him get back to the car.

Wait- Do some of you really think that the BRPD will look at this as a case of helping a "damsel in distress", and just say "oh, well that changes everything- the hell with it"....?

That....ain't....likely.

You're probably right. It is difficult to swim in a sea of ignorance. Apparently no one bothered to read the police report, the facts released later, or the actual article which says the whole "stalking" incident took place hours before the fight at likely a different bar.

What page of the police report contained the other side of the story? Link?

I don't think it is so cut and dry that if the guy was on the ground, self defense is not a valid defense to the battery charge. It has been a long time since I took criminal law, but if I remember correctly, the law is that a person can use reasonable force to defend himself. You can also use reasonable force to defend a third person if that person would have had the right to defend using such force. So if Lowery is on the ground and screaming, I am going to get up and kick your a**, or if he was in the process of trying to get back up to fight, or any other number of possibilities where an 18 year old girl would fear for her safety and then the kick occurred, the "kicker" may have a valid defense.

I don't see this as a clear cut case of second degree battery just because the dude was on the ground.

You and 92,000 others "Like" this.

This is the defense the the "kicker" is going to use, and why the altercation in the bar has merit.

I believe that was the original guy who got pulled from the truck, and according to the police report that was said after he got stomped.

Hilarious....

He was yelling at his girlfriend. Who hasn't done that. What else did he do; use profanity??

I love how LSU is going to make the victim into a terrible person. Well done LSU PR team!!

Ummm....he is also accused of "hitting" one of her friends inside the bar....

quote:

her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Lowery, 21, followed her to a bar, cursed and yelled at her, cornered her several times and hit one of her friends.

Link? Also, if this was related to Lowery stalking a girl then who is the unknown white male that was attacked and why did they kick his arse instead of Lowery's?

Lowery 1)kicked out of school
2)arrested for burglary
3)charged with stalking

jefferson 1)finished h.s.
2) no prior arrest
3) charged with assault by the above.
