It’s wild to me how that field is such a joke now. Sports reporters used to live and breathe the sports they covered.
They are much interested in anything other than actual sports reporting now. Journalism is dead.
The Committee picks and seeds the playoff teams, so the voter polls are a relic from the past.
Ignore them.

No doubt Mississippi state is a good team, but they have beaten Minnesota, South Carolina and Missouri. None of the those teams have been setting the world on fire, and they were not beaten into submission like Clemson and A&M were.
Just saying, but for two quarters, LSU has been statistically dominating other teams.
Maybe Clemson and Texas AM are not good teams, but we beat them like they were FCS subdivision programs and did so Saturday without Green, Spears and Weeks.
I feel like this Board is overacting.

The voters should be audited by AI. Those audits then should be reviewed by a committee and extreme outliers like this should have their voting rights removed.

I refuse to believe there isn’t a grad from LSUs journalism school each year who loves and is knowledgeable about LSU sports and would kill for the chance to be our beat reporter for a year or two
I knew several when I was at LSU and there was zero interest in folks like that by the advocate
