do understand the recency bias. It's fresh in your mind and you're still on cloud 9.

Think this game has a legitimate case.
One of the greatest college pitchers ever vs the second best pitcher this season.

Big stage, not as big as 96 but went 0-0 for 11 innings with a walkoff HR.

Not to mention some of the best defense I’ve ever seen. That play by Tre is a jaw dropper in MLB.

This is the correct answer.

The ones comparing to Warren Morris are delusional. I love Tommy Tanks and what a clutch hit tonight. But Morris"s was a Cinderella Story.

C'mon.

Kid was hurt all year, a pinch at bat, bottom of the 9th, two outs and walks it off.

For the trophy?

One isn't like the other.

With that said, hell of a hit Tonight, Tommy!

It was the best defensive college game I've ever seen. Excellent pitching/D through 11 innings at the highest level.

Same. I wish I was old enough to watch LSU baseball kick arse in the 90s

You can't.

Murphy's had a framed pitcher at the front door of Morris rounding 2nd with the 2nd baseman lying on the ground.

I always looked at it on the way out.

I think that was Alex Cora who was lying on the ground with his head in his hands….The Morris homer is a “I know where I was when it happened “ moment.

It was a perfect baseball game. Every pitch, hell, every swing mattered. The margins were so slim. I don't want to be friends with anyone who disagrees.

I have been watching lsu baseball since 1987 (apparently, I am old).

96 lsu/Miami

00 lsu/Stanford

Tie:
09 lsu/TX game 1
23 lsu/wake (Hurd is my mvp...I expect skenes to skenes and Tommy to Tommy. I don't expect Hurd to be that dude against Wakes lineup on this stage. He was epic.)
