I was talking to my 94 year old mother on the phone while I watching the game when the whistler suddenly sounded. She asked me what that noise was. LOL. I explained it - She thought it was ridiculous.

A few years ago there was an article saying that there were two whistlers. No joke, an apprentice, a just-in-case backup.

The whistler, Preacher Franklin, is not a lawyer but a retired siding business owner (although he's been quoted saying things about "his friend" who's a lawyer). I love that security at TD Ameritrade asked him to stop it or be escorted off the premises at the CWS.
The other whistler died a few years ago.

The university itself is a piece of shite for allowing this to continue. Tell that stupid frick “Stop the shite or lose your tickets and you will be banned from all Vanderbilt games”. This ruins everyone’s game experience including their own fans. I think next time they play us at home every single LSU fan should bring air horns, they can’t ban us all to prove a point.

Didn't we use to have someone similar to him at our games. If correct it seem like he would travel to out of state games. People got tired of him real quick.

Not that I remember. I know for years, in the Miles era, we had a fool jerk on the east side of the football stadium who painted his body purple and dressed in a bizarre batman costume for games. But that was just a visual offense, not an auditory attack.

I can verify that it's worse on the radio broadcast. Tried it one of the previous games and was surprised that it was louder on the radio.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. It’s impossible to ignore and makes watching the game with the sound on a total chore. I don’t know how the people sitting near him haven’t lost it yet.
