Considering at the beginning of the season I assumed we would lose to Miami and Auburn as well I'd say we did pretty good.
This keeps getting repeated, and it makes me want to punch kittens.

At the beginning of the season, I bet you also didnt think auburn and miami would be shitty unranked teams

Out of my selfish feelings now. I can admit this season was better than all the threads that told me we would be 5-7 or 4-8. Nobody gave us a chance. This is the floor for the standard for O and E now which is what I wanted to see this year. Sure, we could have and should have only lost that one game, but this team overachieved. Coaches get the credit for that just like they get the blame for the losses.

Happy overall with the season and would like to see us make a giant step in the direction of a smooth offense where the players can execute with more urgency and confidence. Would have been nice to at least add another analyst to bring a new element.

If we cant get a smooth effective offense in 2019 it is time to throw in the towel. I just cant see Burrow not taking a leap forward along with the rest of all that is returning on offense. All we should be losing is Brumfeild, but we are gaining some very talanted freshman to add into the mix. Boutte brings that speed diminsion to the wr core, Emory and Davis add in that star element that we are use to at rb, and Thomas brings some attitude to the OL. Its all on Ensminger, cant say he doesnt have plenty to work with. I think he steps up and suprises you guys.

And I hope we do add that analyst or co OC advisor people been talking about

Sure, that’s a really easy concept to grasp.

But how much better, and then what happens when we lose our 5th year senior starting QB?

Good season but not a great season, parts of it were definitely fun. However we still need to do the following...

Win the bowl game and actually get a 10 win season
Improve on offense next year
Not lose to Alabama 29-0 next year
Not lose to inferior opponents next year

“ overnight miracles”

Three years is not overnight and no one is expecting a miracle, but some of us did have the expectation of an improvement in the O.

I never envisioned having a Oklahoma or Ohio State offense, but I thought we probably had talent enough to at least come close to an Old Miss offense considering the wealth of problems that program has been undergoing. .

Oh well, maybe next year.

Considering what Saban did at Bama, Smart did at UGA and what Meyer did at UF it is clear Zero is not in any of those zip codes. Each took teams with moderate success and elevated them in less than 2 years. Have we seen that yet in Zero?

Watch what happens to Texas and Texas A$M next year. While we were rummaging through clearance racks at TJ Maxx UT and A&M were saying "Hold my beer" and showing us how getting a top tier coach is done.

don't think we lack talent offensively, but comparatively our RBs are not the same talent level as we've had in the past.

We will always have a step down from the 2015-2016 rb depth. That our most talented rbs corp in lsu history, in my opinion anyway. LF, Guice, and DWill stack up against any trio in lsu history.

Solid trio. Addai, D. Davis, and L. Toefield were pretty good as well.

Stat wise, the 2015 trio takes the cake.
But its subjective.

Collins, while very talented, didnt do enough for me to label him as great.
