Thank you not benching JJ. As stupid as it seemed in the moment, it will pay dividends in the future. You don't know how much players appreciate that..that even in their darkest moments, that their coaches will always have their back. Recruits saw that, and the younger guys saw that. The seniors will remember that for life, and surely JJ in the midst of his misery, will feel forever indebted to coach miles for that. There may not be a better coach to play for in america. But we need to sure up our offensive identity

What in the world are you talking about? Our playbook has every forward pass ripped out when Jefferson is in the game. How many yards did Jefferson pass for vs Bama the first game? How many pass attempts did LSU have on Jefferson's 90 yard td drive vs Tennessee? How many yards passing did LSU have in the SEC Championship game?

This next fact is the truth: Jordan Jefferson's greatest asset as a quarterback is his ability to scramble when rushed. That's it. He's not a running quarterback, he's good at scrambling. You know, plays that aren't called, just tuck the ball and run. You can't plan for that as a staple of your offense.

Right those same 4 plays and the tip toe option looked like a wide open offense last night.

JJ couldn't play badly enough for you to post more insane threads promoting him, and bashing Lee. It's what you do.

WTF? Dude we had maybe 10 plays last night. Did you watch any of the games prior to LSU/Bama part I?

He only watches the plays with JJ @ QB, obviously.

Last night there was a desperate need for a change. Don't care who it was. The team needed a spark, JJ wasn't it. Miles didn't believe in his players, he knew JJ wasn't getting it done. Miles sank the ship by virtue of his loyalty to one guy, at the expense of a team.

That, is shitty coaching.

I didnt know JJ contributed to that team as a SR in HS. Interesting

the guy i quoted said "we" only had one sec championship appearance. clearly the OP got jj and rp confused, but the other guy saying that "we" only had 1 sec champ game appearance is wrong. i don't know him, but i'm guessing he didn't play for the team then either. i know i didn't.

Coaches are supposed to make tough decisions. JJ was ineffective last night. I'm not jumping all over JJ(although is demeanor on the field is highly questionable), because Miles left him in. This is the BCSNCG, doesn't Miles need to go for broke to at least give his team a chance? When JJ threw a pass to Bama it was 12-0, with 8 minutes left in th 3rd. Why not try something else? There comes a point when believing in players becomes a detriment, we saw that last night.

What about the play calling in the 4th quarter? Can that be defended? Do you agree that Miles gave up in the 4th? Is that acceptable?

15:00 LSU Rush: Kenny Hilliard rushed right for 2 yards.
14:45 LSU Rush: Kenny Hilliard up the middle for 1 yard.
14:10 LSU Rush: Michael Ford up the middle for 4 yards.
13:35 LSU Rush: Jordan Jefferson rushed right for 3 yards.
13:14 LSU Rush: J.C. Copeland up the middle for 1 yard.
13:00 LSU Punt: Brad Wing punted the ball 43 yards, out of bounds at the Alabama 17.
12:30 Alabama Rush: Trent Richardson up the middle to the Alabama 20 for 3 yards.
12:15 Alabama Rush: Trent Richardson up the middle to the Alabama 21 for 2 yards.
10:55 Alabama Sack: A.J. McCarron sacked by Kevin Minter for -7 yards.
10:30 Alabama Punt: Cody Mandell punted 52 yards from the Alabama 14 to the L-S-U 34. Tyrann Mathieu returned to the L-S-U 35 for 1 yard.
9:44 LSU Rush: Spencer Ware rushed right for 5 yards.
9:30 LSU Rush: Jordan Jefferson up the middle for 3 yards.
8:55 LSU Rush: Kenny Hilliard up the middle for 7 yards.
8:30 LSU Rush: Jordan Jefferson up the middle to the Alabama 31 for 19 yards.
8:10 LSU Rush: Michael Ford rushed left to the Alabama 35 for -3 yards.

Good point, I never thought about. Recruits are going to see how you can step in for a charged felon, and take the team to an undefeated record and number one ranking, and despite what you do on the field, your head coach will take a huge shite on your head. No matter what you do on the field, if you aren't his pet, you sit the bench, and he embarrasses you and your family.

I bet recruits (well, certain ones), will be chomping at the bit to come here. Especially mid-tier, ignorant, semi-athletic, self-centered, underachieving primaddonas.

Nice post! I in no way blame JJ. It was all Coach Miles last night. I personally don't think JL would have helped any last night. He stuck behind who he thought gave us the best chance at victory. All you Lee lovers out there think you can coach the team better? lol....Maybe you can go against Miles as head coach of another team. Do you think you will get 3.5 million too? lol

Miles did have the brook trout look last night. Saban just took him to the woodshed...this time.
