what's that have to do with ND's defensive coordinator?

Because having a great QB is good for the defense. Time of possession, field position etc. The more you know!

On the plus we don’t have bad winds down here and another videographer won’t have to be sacrificed

except recruiting. getting athletes into notre dame isn't easy yet he continues to bring in top 10 classes, i can't wait to see what he does at lsu

Literally can't believe the negative reaction from some. Prying Kelly away from Notre Dame is a bigger coup than Riley from OU. Amazing.

This is very much a “Jay Johnson” type of hire. I think it’s a very solid hire, Hes a good recruiter and can bring in top tier O-Linemen, the athletes of Louisiana are gonna come regardless now that we have competency at the head coach spot.

Really you think riley is better then kelly???
You may need to educate your self on football.
As the great riley was given a great position and a cake walk into the playoffs at ou he didn't want the grind of the SEC at ou or at lsu so he went to USC and avoids competition and another cakewalk into the playoffs. He runs a good offense but his offense has and will continue to fail when he steps up in competition.

Brian Kelly is the better coach, not even a question IMO.

Marcus might get an interview to replace Kelly as head coach at ND

Someone on this board suggested Brian Kelly over a month ago. I wasn’t disrespectful, but I thought it was stupid to suggest he would leave notre dame. Turns out I was just stupid I guess.

Was at both games. LSU had the superior talent. Kelly should do very well here.

You act like we pried Brian away based on football program only. Wait till you see the $$ numbers. I bet it will be at a $12M per year clip. I don't really call that a level playing field, that's a sum ND was unwilling to match. Again, a solid hire but not a homerun for $12M or in that ballpark.

Very good insight. And I'm not ready to let Daronte go. I think LSU has something special brewing on that side of the ball in Daronte.

OC is in his 20s, DC is in his 30s. He understands youth in the locker room with the players.
