I hope our unique culture is winning games and championships. He's a better coach than Les/O and the I bet he can win with the talent LSU attracts.

He was 7 or 8th on my list. Much rather have O and force him to hire top botch OC and DC.
Kelly is horrible. Very easy schedule and gets annihilated playing good team. Everything is handed to ND.

He’s old and is close to retirement
He has no ties anywhere in the SEC
He’s consistently bent over by all the good teams he plays
He’s the most boring cultural fit imaginable
He’s not a bad candidate on his own but really struggling to see the fit for us
He is 60-Saban is 70, He can recruit nationally-he can recruit the SEC states as well, he may have been bent over by some of the good teams but he has beaten a few with less talented but smarter players due to the academic standards ND has-but he has got LSU a couple times-with the talent he can get here-we will see. He is a good fit-he can bring stability and a no nonsense approach to the program. This is a great hire from all angles-No one dreamed he would leave ND-coaches usually don't leave Notre Dame football to go coach somewhere else. I can assure you this didn't just happen-this has been in the works for a while.

I agree.
Would rather coach O than B. Kelly.

I would have been ok with Coach O staying-they coached their asses off the past 4 games with second string and young players having to step up....but O is gone and Kelley is a quality coach!

.802 % sorry for confusion. He is behind Saban and Brown in number of wins.

Nick Saban was from West Virgina and had only coached in the Big 10. Les Miles was from Michigan. This is such a dumb take.

It is being reported he talked to current coaches at LSU about retention, so yes, it has been in the works for a while. The reason it is not being officially reported is because ND has a chance to be in one of the big games.

I thought we got Saban from Michigan state and miles from Oklahoma state

'Exactly. He's been cherry picking his schedule and gamifying the rankings for years.'
Remind you of anyone-like Saban who got Kentucky every year while LSU got Florida?

Finally be able to make sense of a coach’s postgame interview. Between Les and O the English language took a beating lol

He will not fit in here at all. He is not a players' coach. Watch a few sideline antics in videos. Very quick to throw players under the bus. "South" Bend not the south. He will not fit into our unique culture. This time next year, many will be asking "what have we done?"
Are you talking about Saban or Kelly?
