They've had about the same winning% since '76. Sully brought in the studs. And Gainsville is the 2nd worst part of florida.

What about Tim Corbin from Vanderbilt......he has done more with less. Vanderbilt -Private University....small recruiting grounds / handcuffed / and has won it all.

someone doesn't follow college baseball. Vandy has more advantages than anyone. They can give financial aid to any player they want, essentially offering all of their top recruits a full ride, from anywhere in the country. Or do you think these first round picks are choosing to go to Vandy so they can take out 50k in student loans a year

I honestly think Canno at the helm would be better for this team

You can't be serious he was terrible at Southeastern, he is good behind the scenes but cannot be the head guy.

Tired of the underachieving
Underachieving as in losing 8 of 9 starters in the batting order and still take the team to a national seed? The only program to be a national seed 5 years in a row?

Is that underachieving?

I'm assuming he was referring to Cannizaro and not Dan Canevari

I'd imagine almost all college baseball coaches are getting paid less than Nikki. Her contract is ridiculous.

Let's take out the Nikki contract for a moment. Women's basketball coaches are generally more likely to be paid more than baseball coaches.

Thunder bird OK, Since 2010 Corbins Record at Vanderbilt:

2010 Vanderbilt 46–20 16–12 3rd (East) NCAA Super Regional
2011 Vanderbilt 54–12 22–8 T–1st (East) College World Series
2012 Vanderbilt 35–28 16–14 4th (East) NCAA Regional
2013 Vanderbilt 54–12 26–3 1st (East) NCAA Super Regional
2014 Vanderbilt 51–21 17–13 3rd (East) College World Series Champions
2015 Vanderbilt 51–21 20–10 1st (East) College World Series Runner-Up
2016 Vanderbilt 43–19 18–12 3rd (East) NCAA Regional

In the last 6 years-Vandy has won it one time, lost a final once, and 3 appearances in 6 years.

Again CPM would have to go.

look at his awards:

2007 SEC Coach of the Year
2013 SEC Coach of the Year
2007 CollegeBaseballInsider.com National Coach of the Year
2014 Baseball America College Coach of the Year
2014 Collegiate Baseball National Coach of the Year
2014 Perfect Game Coach of the Year

pretty impressive....just sayin

So let's say...CPM takes the job! I don't see it but... Who knows Texas has $$$$$$$$. Who would replace him as LSU Skipper?

while true, LSU along with a handful of other programs, is a unique circumstance when it comes to baseball. It's our second most popular sport and generates a profit. How many schools can make that claim?

I honestly wouldn't be opposed to Cannizaro getting the job in the unlikely event Paul leaves.

Would I expect him to get it? Nah but I wouldn't hate it.
