Every year johnson maximizes hitting and lets fielding fall where it may. Which is a strategy that's worked.
Well this year the hitting didn't pan out and this is what were left with.

evans just isn’t a starter right now.

At his best he’s gutting it out after like 60 pitches.

we can’t have your friday night guy consistently giving up 3-4 runs

Yep. He’d lost 4 mph on his fastball by that point and lost the bite on his split. I’m not sure Evans can really extend much past 80 pitches.
