Where’s CB to remind us how we’re improving?

You cats act like LSU was a powerhouse basketball program. LSU has always been average or below in basketball since the beginning of time. We are a football and baseball school.

It's so weird how many LSU fans, and the athletic department, have expectations for every sport except men's basketball.

LSUs last 5 games are all winnable and it will be an embarrassment not to go 4-1 in that stretch. So 8-10 should actually be our goal right now. Anything less and this season is another failure.

LSU doesn’t even look at itself has a basketball school. When was the last time LSU put money into the P-Mac? We are so far behind it’s crazy.

Where is the data to support 3 years to build? That’s BS.
Literally no program that was the raging dumpster fire it was less than 2 years ago was built in less. Especially with an NOA and being on probation which ties our hands in recruiting.

But we got a coach who can evaluate talent and also develop players, so we will be good.

I don't know how long it takes to rebuild a basketball program at a school that doesn't really invest in it, but I know he took over a team that went 9-9 in SEC play the year before then had every single scholarship player on the team enter the transfer portal, and I would assume that's not the easiest thing to rebuild.

Sure bro. Super cool. Let’s ban bet about it!

Have you seen LSU’s schedule? We have a brutal mid stretch and and end with a joke of a schedule.

For dense mother frickers like you, let me explain: we lost at auburn, at bama, at Tennessee, Bama…those are sweet 16/elite 8 teams.

Assuming lsu loses their next 3 games, LSU finishes with the following:

MSU, Georgia, @Vandy, @Arky, Mizzou. LSU will be favored in 4 out of 5, possibly 5 out of 5. I know you don’t follow basketball though, so I get it

I don’t get how you can say this definitively. He took over a program at Murray that was fully set up to succeed and had two pathetic years before a nice run, and then proceeded to have another awful year.

All I heard is how great he is at developing players and how great of an X’s and O’s guy he is. I will always support anything LSU, but I just do not understand how some of you are perfectly fine with what’s going on.

Don’t forget that 9-9 sec team had a 1st round draft pick and another (Days) play in the G League. We will go 8-10 and McMahon sucks, Wade went 9-9 with an nba player and he’s a god. Its mind blowing

They have had a few freshmen show real promise. They have a couple of good players who were either hurt or redshirting and are expected to either upgrade or add depth to key positions There are two pretty good freshmen committed. None of that means they will be a top-half SEC team or even better but they should be at least a little better.

What few freshman are we talking about? Mike Williams is the only freshman.

Who is hurt/redshirting that will be an impact to next years roster? Chest?

Because our team is very much improved from last season. And the team from last season was very much improved from when Coach MM got the team and we did not have a scholarship player on the roster. I think he is a good coach. He will have to have star players at some point to compete and next year we do need to start seeing some of those on the roster imo. But the fanbase in general has been completely unreasonable with Coach MM up until this point imo. And I am a huge Will Wade fan before anyone starts………was devastated he was fired. But the portion of the fanbase that hate Coach MM because of Wade needs to see the situation for what it is and was.

You clearly won’t support anything LSU. We are trending upward. Last year we weren’t competitive. Like this isn’t hard to see.

Said it a million times, your last coach was making the post season every season. That’s all any true LSU men’s basketball fan wants. If you say any differently, you are unreasonable

So if making the tournament is good enough, if somehow by the grace of God they make it next year, would this board support bringing McMahon back the next year?

Don’t follow basketball. Had season tickets for Brady, Johnson, and Jones years before I moved away from Louisiana. Can count on two hands the amount of games I’ve missed the last 20 years.

They’ve already lost to one of the teams you listed. Don’t get all of the confidence. Will always root for them but I will never understand the blatant disregard for how bad the program gotten.

What’s your point here? Wade did less with more? Regardless who was on the roster, he won more games…

100%. That would be progress. I don’t think anyone would disagree with him being here for a while if they make the tourney next year.

Next year should be a make or break it year. You’ve had 3 years to recruit and build a program.

So they lost AT GEORGIA at the fricking buzzer. Hahahaa dude you are clueless. You’re just a self loathing LSU fan that wants…well I’m not sure because we have never been a powerhouse. We run great sets. We run great plays. We lack some skill. Not sure how people don’t understand this. We are moving forward but it’s a process. People need to chill the frick out
