Spinoff of the other in game experience threads, but what can be done about this?

Every time I go into the stadium my internet and service goes to shite. This seems like one of the tangible things we can actually improve on. Thoughts?

ETA: Not looking to be on social media in the stadium like some have commented below. It would be nice to be able to send a text or check the ESPN app for scores though.

More portable towers to increase connectivity, but that is too easy.

Also, LSU can't figure out a way to profit on it yet

This is more to do with the Carrier than LSU. Too many people not enough bandwidth. I don't see LSU paying that out to fix.

You don't need to snapchat, tweet, and Facebook every moment of your time in the stadium. Watch the game, and leave your phone alone for a couple hours. You will survive, I promise.

Not a lot LSU can do.....if they want to fund the infrastructure then I'm sure Verizon/ATT/T-Mobile/etc would latch on to it. That would be big money with little benefit for LSU though.

What's weird is I have no problems in my season tickets with cell service but sometimes I sit in my dad's seats in another section and can't get any service

Most people would just like the ability to check the scores of other games going on, which really shouldn't be too much to ask.

How about putting your phones down and actually watch the damn game.

You mean watching the hour of action during the almost four hour slog required for a nationally televised game?

If you have an issue with my checking scores and TD during TV timeouts, you can get off my lawn, Gramps.

Saw Verizon commercial during the world cup. They lined the train tunnels with coax cable to boost the signal so people can get shite done on their commute.

When I saw it, I immediately thought of Tiger stadium.

Then don't have the teams just standing there when red hat is on the field. They are just huddled up standing around.

It's actually a freaking joke. Commercial before and after kick offs. Commercials after punts, it just kills the flow of the freaking game and is a momentum killer.

CBS is notorious for making a one hour game last 4.

Are these not still prominently displayed in the stadium during stoppages?

They scroll through the ticker, but if you miss it you'll spend more time watching the ticker than it would have taken you to pull up your favorite sports app and check the score there.

Plus, if you're like me, you'll want to know the score, how much time is left, who has the ball, down and distance, etc. especially at the end of a close game. And I know this may come as a shock to some people, but you can actually do these things during one of the 500 TV timeouts during the game and not miss a single play.

Fans that are concerned with cell service are what is wrong with the game day experience.

The carrier(s) could provide add’l cell service on trailers for the game days however, there would be additional costs and wel, you know......

Unless it's changed, Verizon phone and text work very well in stadium.
Probably due to those big arse Verizon signs on scoreboards

Attract more fans that are smart enough to realize that AT&T is trash.

Its already much better than it used to be. They've been installing mini towers around the perimeter of tiger stadium.

Several feet of steel-reinforced concrete plays hell with cell reception.
