Impressive on multiple levels.

The son of educators, Holden was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (and he remains a rabid LSU football fan to this day). He attended Dartmouth College, earning a B.A. in economics, and went on to study international politics at the University of Cologne on a Fulbright Scholarship. He later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Someone high up at TAF told me the largest donor was someone who didn’t go to LSU. I always assumed graves but I wonder if it was this guy.

Did Pepper Rutland go to LSU? He is who I’ve heard has had the biggest hand in buyouts.
Holden didn’t pay the coaching buyouts, I know that. But he does do a lot and his brother Carlos is an attorney that works closely with LSU athletics.
ETA:
Known the family a long time. Great people.
ETA:
Didn’t know about Pepper!

You did hang that curveball, but you are a good sport and good Tiger.

Richard Zuschlag (Acadian Ambulance) handled the Les Miles buyout.

There’s a few people it could be. Gary Chouest (Edison Chouest Offshore), for example, went to Nicholls. My money is its Graves though.

It's not him. LSU has several powerful donors who are not public for many reasons.

One of the founders of Yahoo is from Lake Charles but I don’t think he went to school here

Epaminondas. Most effective military leader ever. In my opinion.

Pepper was a bada__ middle linebacker for the Tiger's. I think he may have been all SEC. Good guy, his business, MMR, is very successful.
