I support all of our athletes that wear the Purple & Gold. I am tired of seeing disrespect for Jordan Thompson.
Jordan has been loyal to the program and this University.
Please check in below and go on record now. After the first pitch tomorrow, only those who signed in this post can celebrate Jordan when he has a clutch play that contributes to us raising the hardware tomorrow evening.

That’s doesn’t make him immune when he’s playing awful. He’s 1-30 and made 2 big errors yesterday. He’s played like a clueless little leaguer yesterday
If he makes a big play or has a clutch hit he will be celebrated same as he was criticized.

Jordan had a bad game, it happens. He got caught up in the moment while our pitching was being taken to the woodshed and he just tried too hard to make plays. He'll be fine tonight. Moderator's should do something about these rude comments, at the very least, at the very most they should do something about the rude, and disrespectful posters. Disrespect of any LSU athlete should not be allowed on an LSU forum.

Real support means honesty. There's nothing wrong with anyone expressing their opinions or thoughts on a player. When these players have off-the-field issues, we want to treat them like adults. Yet, when they underperform and people want to give their opinion, that's when some people say, "Stop, they are young men." Blah blah. Being ridiculed or given opinions or constructive criticism is all part of life and the game. Personally, I think if what's being said is true, then there's nothing wrong with it being said. Soft lies cause deeper issues later on.
Your opinion to not say what's on your mind is the same freedom as someone voicing their mind. As long as both are done within good character, then so be it.
Now, with that being said, I'm with you on your mission, so here I am at 03:16 unable to sleep. Nervous, excited, and countless other things keeping me from some shut-eye.

Thompson is playing like shite, and deserves the criticism. It's one thing to be in a slump at the plate, but he completely broke down in the field yesterday, and that makes him a liability at this point.
He can't be trusted anywhere on the field. I mean, bobbled exchanges happen all the time. But damn near running over White in the first inning, and then that inexplicable throw to 3rd in the 3rd?! That's trying too damn hard to make a play, and it's hurting the team.

Our pitching gotten taken to the woodshed yesterday largely BECAUSE of Thompson, not the other way around.
JJ threw the damn towel when he trotted out the backend of our bullpen. Those guys wouldn’t even be midweek starters at Southeastern.

I expect him to bounce back defensively. And hope he finds a few barrels offensively. But at this point I don't expect his offense to be productive.
