Obviously there’s a huge advantage to being #1 in the playoff vs #2. Playing Utah/ Oklahoma/ Baylor/ Bama with Mac Jones is much preferred over playing Clemson.

That said here’s who I think LSU needs to win to reclaim #1

Michigan over Ohio State obviously
Auburn over Bama
Memphis over Cincinnati
Minnesota over Wisconsin (I think the gophers would at least have a chance next week)
Oklahoma over Oklahoma State
Baylor over Kansas
Georgia not stumbling to Ga. Tech
Florida not stumbling to Florida State
Texas over Texas Tech wouldn’t hurt

All that sound about right?
I’m sure the committee will keep the Buckeyes #1 anyway

If both Michigan and Auburn win ..... that would be chaos!

If just one wins it would be Awesome.

As long as LSU wins everything will be fine. That said, I will be pulling for Auburn and Michigan although I am not getting my hopes up for either. The rest I am not even concerning myself with.

Some matchups are dependent on prior results. For instance, if Alabama beats Auburn, go Oklahoma. If Auburn beats Alabama, I no longer give a shite but would probably pull for Oklahoma State.

Bama over Auburn just for the heartburn it will cause.

I want Wisconsin and Ohio State on a neutral field.

With the way this team has a chip on their shoulder I get the feeling they want the most difficult road possible.

Why Oklahoma over OK State?

Hurts being the runner he is seems like a potential bad matchup for us.

Also, I’ll be pulling for Kansas, just because I like Les. I don’t like him as coach at LSU, but I have enough of an affinity for the guy to pull for him if he’s not playing us.

I would love for Memphis to beat Cincinnati. Then the committee couldn’t say Ohio has three wins against top 19 opponents

Memphis will beat Cincy. I would think Wisconsin over Minnesota would be better since Wisconsin is lower in rankings. Wouldn’t look as good if and when OSU beats them.

Why would you pull for Minnesota over Wisconsin? Minnesota winning out is the only way a 1-loss LSU could be left out of playoffs.

If Memphis beats Cincy tomorrow, they will play them again next week in the Liberty Bowl for the AAC Championship Game. Two losses in a row would move them out of the playoff poll and put Memphis in the Cotton Bowl. Win-Win.

I agree. I was referring to the fan bases.
