Best case scenario we honestly lose 3 more this season (Ole Piss, Bama and Oklahoma) based on our play 3 games in. Kelly just isn’t a fit in this program

Yes. Because players and teams NEVER get better as the season goes along.

In a lot of respects he has done a great job. He has brought a culture of professionalism. The team seems prepared for every contingency. His offense is almost always excellent, and he seems to be great at assuring we have solid QBing.

He was behind on defensive talent and he did a poor job of addressing it in his first full recruiting period (I give him a pass on the first class, but his second defensive class was also weak). He is playing catch up, particularly of the defensive line, and that is holding back what could have been championship teams in 2023/24.

His defensive recruiting is back on track, so if he can maintain everything else he has done, we should be contending most years.

his hiring decisions aren’t erratic.

I also don’t think Sloan has been half as bad as people make out.

we have serious execution issues.

Sloan… I get why they did it but not impressed

This I don’t understand. I am very impressed. I think Sloan is getting blamed for the underperformance of an offensive line that was simply overestimated. They are good, and they might become great, but they have not shown that yet, either last season or this one.

Sloan is also dealing with Hilton’s absence, which has left us without a real deep threat. Anderson is fast enough. But he lacks the height and reach. And in spite of all of this, our offense has been very good.

honestly, if we Durham keeps running the ball like he has, all of a sudden the OL and the OC look better.

The OL is disappointing in the run game, but we have had issues with our RBs that get ignored.

then a guy stats hitting the holes that actually are there and reading the zone and we’re averaging 9+ yards a carry.

What I dislike the most so far is that it seems that each of his teams need about 3 to 4 games under their belt before they finally figure themselves out.

Ditto for Nick Saban. It was our misfortune that we played them after seven or eight weeks. Ole Miss had more success catching them early. And they struggled when they played decent teams in the first two weeks. But by the last few weeks of the season, his teams were almost unbeatable.

I can't reasonably complain about a coach that has won 10 games each year the last 2 seasons and has produced a Heisman winner. Steve Sarkisian was 25 - 14 after 3 seasons and you see where his program is now. I think the job that BK is doing is on par with that .. He's well on his way to bring LSU back to being elite !

He has had only 2 recruiting classes ( both top 10). This years class looks very good. Considering what he took over I don’t think we can make a judgment. Now if we don’t make the playoffs next year I would not be happy with him.

First season I was elated with Kelly, second was satisfactory, and this season has been ridiculous.

I still like Kelly, but I often think I am convincing myself due to his buyout. I wish he practiced what he preached regarding discipline and alignment a bit more.

He was necessary for orgeron burning the program down, and it’s nice having calm off seasons. I’m hoping the 2025 class elevates the program and if it doesn’t he’s just a 10-3 kind of baw.

Near fatal mistake on initial defensive hires that put you off schedule, but corrected.

Really starting to believe House wasn’t as bad as we thought and that we just didn’t have any talent. Our defense still is really bad, it’s just not quite as terrible.

He took over a train wreck. Unlike our last 3 coaches, he has little financial incentive to win a national title.

After 2020 and 2021, back to back 10 win seasons with an SEC west title and a Heisman winner is a success.

I think we are pot committed at this point. It will be a similar situation to Jmibo and A/M. There is a breaking point but it is much further down the line than people are anticipating.

Defensively, when you have #’s 2, 3, 18, and 40 starting or playing extensively, you’re only going to be so good.

Considering what BK inherited, he has performed I'd give him an B+ to an A- grade. His recruiting has been great. He makes changes where needed. However, his biggest negative is not having the team ready to play on game one. His teams have come out flat with little spark in game one. If you look at his career at ND, he had the same issue there. He had game one wins, but mostly against inferior teams. BK needs to either up his game on game one, or stop scheduling top tiered opponents on game one.

Initially didn’t think he was a good fit. Wasn’t thrilled with the hire but understood he was the best option at the time. For the 100 million I thought there would be consistency and not so many head scratching moments of WTH just happened? I also knew he had some work to do to get the roster back and still has a ways to go. Overall grade of probably a B- for me. Would be a solid B+ if not for the results we have and same issues occurring in year 3 for the amount of money he’s paid.

we either get the NIL organized and get on point or we are looking at 8-9 win seasons no matter what.

Not worth the monies he's being paid.

Scotty fricked up like he did with Jim Bob.

It starts and ends with Woodward.

They are very lucky to be 2-1.
