He was the best shooter I have ever seen. We always think of his threes but his drives to the basket and his little finger roll were so sweet.

His cross dribble between legs then pops a 3 pointer. Was money. 53 points against UF as freshman.

I’ll never forget him fouling out three Florida Gators when he was a freshman. I think he scored 55.
I still have not seen a quicker jumpshot

Smooth still at his age. Guy was a great player.

He’s 50+ and can still fill it up. He and Tim Hardaway had the best breakdown, crossovers…left many a dude picking up their jock.

He did have the quickest jump shot — from any distance. He was Steph Curry-esque

He was the Barry Sanders of basketball.

We would watch and say, “Did he actually just do that?”

It was like a real life magic show.

I'm loving all the basketball nostalgia on TD today, this is awesome.

I wasn't around to see Pistol or Pettit, but holy smokes was CJ just a delight to watch.

Two of my favorite memories of the time when I was deciding which college to attend were officially visiting LSU on a HS group trip and going to Fred's or SI's? Not completely sure on that one - and seeing Shaq standing next to the bouncer outside in complete Shaq form. I'm 6'2" and I was like WTF?!? We're going to get this guy too?!?

And the second is actually enrolling for classes on the PMAC floor along-side CJ. I was literally like I'm new here, why are you open enrolling next to me.

That's when they had the phone system when you could change classes, but it was a bitch.

Anyhow, CSB Drizz.

Speaking of Sports Illustrated…. I remember them having a progressive, where rate discounts would go up depending on how many points Chris Jackson scored.

If you were able to watch him live & in person, you witnessed greatness.

If he had not listened to handlers in the NBA, and gotten on meds for Tourette’s, he wouldn’t have gained all that weight. He played much better, quicker at the weight he carried at LSU.

INTERVIEWED he even stated this…and regrets that. The Islam / American flag thing is a different story
