Do you think JJ did a great job on Saturday? Scale 1-10

Jordan Jefferson completed 15 of 21 passes for 153 yards JJ had an intentional grounding and threw one interception.

He gets a 6 in my book.

I can't argue with 6, but would not have given it to him.

5. The pick he threw, and the intentional grounding that put LSU out of fg range.

This thread is prompted by Dandy Don's grading of the team's performance.

As for an overall college QB he may be around a 7 or so, but LSU standards are a little higher IMO.

6- The interception & intentional grounding call were both very poor judgement plays on his part, but overall he had a damn good first half, & the TD pass was a thing of beauty. JJ, along with everyone else seemed to fade in the 2nd half, although I can't fault the DL, they played hard all game.

Any particular reason you failed to mention the two TD passes other than it doesn't fit your agenda?

he looked a little better, but the playcalling was pretty similar to the last 2 seasons

I'd give him a weak 7. I believe he showed some progress- but still needs work.

The childish pick he threw had me scratching my head, but the guy looked like a world-beater at times. Those TD passes were beautiful.

from an outsiders perspective this was his only really BAD mistake; he shouldnt be doing these types of thing as for the int, that happens no big deal. I thought your OL and not Jefferson was your problem last yr.

I'd say 6.5. Improvement from last year. Some ways to go, but there's still promise.

For his first game of the year 7, however he has a lot of improvements to make.

Issues I still see:
1. Doesn't move his head/eyes much to try and redirect the secondary.
2. Seems to just make one read and take off at times.
3. Throws after the receiver is open not when he's about to be open.
4. Rarely hits receivers in stride, mostly because of #3

He has improved from last year though but still isn't where he should be after the amount of starts he's had.
