Sunday Morning Truth

The reality is even if LSU would have won on the final play last night every one would still have this gut wrenching feeling this morning. Last night completely exposed just how bad this defense is and there is no “fixing” it this season. I knew the defense was not great but I did think the front line would hide some “sins” but that is false. I am afraid the remaining schedule has a couple more losses in it. We are going to have to buckle up and see what changes are made next year.

If our team does not give up and the offense keeps humming, then we’ll win a few more this year. Lane is good at offense.

I was willing to let House have a pass against Florida State and Arkansas as a fluke as that always happens against Arkansas. Not anymore, it is obvious House is in over his head.
Grambling, Arkansas, and now Ole Piss? Our guys look lost, our play calling defensively is terrible, and we have zero passion! Time for house to go today, I would do better for a lot less money.

That was me last week.
I’m not even surprised at what happened last night.

Sunday morning truth is LSU is lucky they don’t currently have 3 losses. This is going to be a long season

The D is not a fluke. It is nonexistent

I guess the good news is we will have a new DC

Truths....
We scored 49 on the road in the SEC and lost
Big 12 defenses and DB's, who were in the portal for a reason, are a ticket out of Baton Rouge.
This fan base has been to the promised land and we're not going back to a slack frick off status.
#10 ranked recruiting classes aren't going to cut it

Kelly said we didn’t go for it on 4th and 7 because it was too far

Welp, maybe women’s basketball and baseball can hold us till next football season.

We need to make a pivot on defense towards an attacking defense and not setting back. Our DBs are lined up 7 yards off the LOS, we look tentative, and are not getting enough QB pressure.

As painful as it was to watch that D, it may be for the best that they gave up the most yards in LSU history. Kelly can beat around the bush, but that fact (which will be repeated often by fans and the media) means that there is a coaching and playing problem and the coaches will either make numerous changes, etc., or it will eventually be their heads on the platter.
Kelly obviously ain't getting fired this year or anything, but no one likes having a huge problem that can't be hidden or ignored, so he will have to address it because it's undeniably a huge problem that everyone will be talking about. It was present for the Arkansas game, but was downplayed due to getting the W. Not now.

That is just it. Isn't it? What changes do you foresee happening? Who are the young studs in waiting on this team? I see very few if any at all. If he does not get better players...

Actually there is a lot of truth to this. There have been many, many times that the opposing quarterback is faced with a defensive line about to wrap him up. The quarterback then scrambles into the open field in front of him for a big gain. I realize the DB's were defending the pass but a good pass rush is most often the best pass defense. Rushing DB's would have finished off the QB instead of a QB scramble for a first down.

Espn never once showed the LSU coaches in the box..did anybody even check to make sure they were in the stadium ..based on the game they may of been in Memphis based on that shitty performance. LSU DC/LB/DB Coaches are MIA

Problem with those monster contracts, he could go Jimbo-lite and can’t do a motherfricking thing about it.
Really thought I was warming up to CBK but all this does is expose him as not a top tier coach. Not to mention his god awful hires. Hope he gets things fixed so we’re not a total embarrassment the rest of the season
