For those interested.
Lsu has 4 pitchers listed.
And it highlights how big those pitching injuries are.
Chase shores was 13th in the country and garrett edwards was 44th.

Obviously Skenes and Hurd are also listed

Jesus... I didn't realize both shores and Edwards were both sub 2.0 ERA pitchers... Talk about a dick punch...

Injuries probably will keep us from Omaha. This team could have been so damn good.

4 pitchers in the top 50 there and down 2 of them. no Ty Floyd in there either. Would have been so nice to have Edwards and Shores available for the season and our outlook on the pitching staff would’ve been entirely different

It was early.

The important thing was those guys were both one of the first called on and both would pitch multiple innings.

Losing them slid everyone up in their role. It killed us.

He's on the analytic staff for some school, so he has all trackman data that gets shared across that network.

Anyone with trackman is in a data sharing agreement.

I like not seeing any pitchers from Tulane, Sam Houston, or Oregon State on that list.

Furthermore, I like seeing no one from UK or W. Virginia either.

Damn man, with Skenes, Shores, and Edwards as our weekend rotation we probably win 25 or more conference games this year. Then you have Hurd and Floyd hunting for innings. But hey, it is what it is and we are where we are. We can still do this!!

Don’t forget about Grant Taylor. He went down early enough that perhaps with some luck he will be able to throw some innings towards the later half of the 2024 season.

Later half? By the time the season starts he will have been recovering for 13 months. Recovery time is 12-14 months.

Probably not, but they might keep us from winning Omaha.

Do you really think the odds are less than 50% of LSU making Omaha? Who is beating us? Kentucky? OSU without two starters? West Virginia? Sam Houston?

Where would this team be without the injuries to Shores and Edwards? Man I would love our pitching staff and our chances in the post season...shite where would this staff be with Grant Taylor? I really think Jay would have him in the closer role to shut things down multiple times in a weekend. man what could have been...
