That’s obviously not what I’m referring to. I’m referring ti the old curmudgeon fans that bitch about every little fricking thing yet contribute nothing. The couch coaches that hold on to their tickets but leave early. I was there Saturday. I’ve seen it with my own eyes often.

If anything, it's the younger generation that has led to the empty stadiums.
Too many people are there to get there social media currency by taking an insta selfie to show how fun their Saturday was because they were at Tiger Stadium... only to leave at halftime because they got what they needed and now have to beat the traffic.

Such a trashy cheer but even more offensive is the lack of creativity from an age group that is supposed to be creative. At some point in LSU's history, someone came up with the chants and hand motions to first down LSU and second down LSU. Someone came up with the bow for Chinese bandits/third down stops. "O WE O, you suck". "A**hole, A**hole" during Tiger Rag. Even the hand motion to the original "Neck". For the last 15 years, the only creativity has been trying to shoe horn STTDB into any and every song. Even with AI/Chatgpt, we are just stuck on stupid.

Graduated in 08 and now have season tickets with my 9 and 10 year old boys in Sec 410.
They are aware of it and just give me looks when people around us start saying it.
As a student and very minimal care about anything:
I remember when we stopped playing Tiger Rag before games and it sucked.
I remember starting "O we O" and it was awesome, until they said co*ks at the end and got it stopped.
I remember people starting to say "And beat the sh*t out of them" after 1st downs and thought it was dumb.
I remember the first time STTDB gained momentum and you started hearing it throughout the stadium and thought it was funny.
As an adult with my two impressionable boys:
These are all stupid and no adult should be encouraging the full scale use of them. I'll stop yelling at clouds now.
They are aware of it and just give me looks when people around us start saying it.

Strongly disagree. Even as a 33 year old, this is what makes college football great.
This fanbase has arguably more passion than any college in the country and proves that by doing stuff like this. It is meant to be a shocking chant and thats what makes it great. We are willing to chant profanities at 18 year olds in unison because we are different breed of fan.

Agree. Been going for years. There has always been stuff being said. None seem as trashy as this.
The comments in this tread show how a large portion of us just don't give a shite about others. Good manners are not taught the way they used to be. These people are the result of poor parenting in general. It is futile to try and change them. The fact that they are proud of it speaks volumes. It will not get resolved on a social media platform. Is what it is.
