Was this the first game that Rivers has thrown in? His pass looked decent but overthrown. I'm surprised the coaches let him throw it but that's a good sign that they show confidence in him. Guy looks HUGE. I'm looking forward to seeing LSU with a 6'8 QB

It was 3rd and 5-6 and OM had just retaken the lead on that 3-4 play drive.

I would have been surprised if he didn't throw a pass.

I was a little shocked they let him throw there(just for the fact the guy was coming in cold), though the pass was as safe as you could get. With the game potentially hanging in the office, I guess Les felt he didn't have a choice.

There is a good chance Rettig or Jennings will start before Rivers

He just put too much mustard on that. Probably a little nerves.

It was only like a four yard stop route. It was overhthrown but not uncatchable. Almost had a TD on the deflection.

I hope Rivers has an ounce of scrambling ability. I'm really coming around to Mett, but he leave 3-4 first downs on the field a game with his immobility.

Are you being serious? If overthrown doesn't make it a bad pass how does one throw a bad pass? Does it have to be overthrown and wobbly?

I believe it was his first pass . . . would have been great had it been a little lower.

BTW, I miss your work on "Gunsmoke".

I really really really want to see Jennings play QB at LSU.

Rivers had to scramble his arse off his senior season in HS because his OL play was horrible.

This, I would put it in their favor in fact.

I'm thinking he threw a pass or 2 in the North Texas game.

Too bad he didn't see Dickson running free down the sideline beyond the short pass. It was six.

I've seen the guy a couple times in practice, and that pass isn't all that different than how he throws there. I've never been impressed.

It may have not been 6, but he was wide arse open
