RC basically said Rivers could work because he was a great leader and could command the locker room, he could relate to Josh Allen, and he still knew the NFL game as he showed by coming in basically off the street and still looking competent when he un-retired.
He did say his assistants would be important and that he'd need to try and grab an up and coming OC like Sean McVay was at one point.
