re: Statistically, JD could still be in the running for the Heisman. Just saying.

How many terrible threads are you good for today?

You know what hides OL issues better? A QB getting the ball out fast. Go back and watch Nuss vs UGA last year.

The OL issues are severely overstated. Daniels holds the ball too long, which makes them look bad in pass pro. They also have 10 guys playing within 10 yards of the LOS, and they’re playing downhill because they don’t think Daniels will beat them over the top. That limits the running game.

What are your thoughts on the debacle that was yesterday’s game?

Spot on.

He’s not good. Let’s focus on getting a W

I don't give a rats arse if an LSU player ever wins a Heisman again. Just win football games

Name me a Heisman winner who lost a gigantic game on the national stage that everyone (who was watching CFB) was watching.

If JD plays another game like last night he won’t get drafted. That wasn’t the question though. He will look great against Grambling this week but he looked really bad in front of a national audience. Before anyone says there were drops Travis had to deal with those too.

Complete breakdown on all fronts. No one group is quite as bad as some make it out but every group had flaws that added to the loss. Except, wait for it, kicking and kick coverage, who would have guessed? I also think FSU may be a better team than anyone but FSU thought.
JD needs to throw better and he still seems to let the ball go too late when he throws downfield. Some question his arm strength but he can throw the distance he is just late releasing.
Receivers need to catch balls that they put their hands on, even if they are not perfect passes.
The O-line needs to assert itself, they have the strength, they just got beat vs. FSU. I think they will do better.
Defense as a whole needs to play better.
But it is game 1 and it is hard to draw any real conclusions from that.
Here's hoping this was an anomaly. Maybe like 2003 Florida.

Back at you...

ETA: Just realized I didn’t add anything to your thoughts. I just wanted your take and appreciate it.

ROFL not a chance. 17 TDs last year passing, 43 sacks, not even a top 25 quarterback. For a dude that can run I still can't believe he was sacked 43 times last season. 1.21 pass TDs per game never gets it done, never.
