theres a time and place to cheer. Not when you are down 4-3 in the late innings to a team you shouldnt be losing to.

you want them to feel the pressure. Not feel like they are playing at home. Of course youve proven you dont know shite about baseball

So giving up 9 hits and 4 earned runs in 6 1/3 innings is a "very good game", deserving a standing ovation from the away team crowd? Uh, ok.

Yeah the guy battled but he was hit pretty hard and was a hit or two away from being knocked out early. Decent performance but hardly dominating.

Exactly. It's not done out of any real sense of knowing or appreciating baseball. It's done so that those idiots can tell other people how they're the best fans in college baseball.

I'm not going to argue this. I don't mind the fans cheering good play. It has happened for as long as I can remember. If Skip the greatest mind in college baseball ever praises it than I have no issue with it.

you laughing doesn't do anything

LSU has the best fan base in the country. Leads the nation in attendance every year. Go to Omaha when LSU makes it and it is very clear that there is no better fan base than LSU.

why do you think Omaha natives like us so much?

again I challenge you find a better than case then LSU.

I bet the SLU pitcher did not think that he was gonna get a standing ovation from the LSU fans.

It's patronizing isn't really an answer. That's just how you feel about it. It's not like they're cheering for them to win. Watch the game and don't sweat the small stuff.

ETA: Listen to that crowd now. Can you honestly complain about it?
