The last coach got rid of Corey Raymond and the secondary went to shite

Hopefully the next coach recognizes this.

Does Frank still hold the same clout he did 10 years ago in the NIL era?

What new coach would sign off on holding on to nearly half of the previous regime when you only get 10 “on field” coaches.

Corey Raymond was also checked out and shopping himself.

How about we trust whoever it is that we hire to be our HC to make their on decisions on who to keep and who to kick to the curb?

We just tried that. Didn't work out. Like, at all.

And he got fired. Again, you are hiring a HC and his job and why he is making as much as he does is to put together the best staff HE feels is a fit. Sure he will get recs from Ausberry or whoever, but he shouldn't be in the business of polling the fans and seeing what coaches to keep.

To think there is only 1 good DC or RB or recruiting coach in the coutnry is crazy.

It’s Frank Wilson, Corey Raymond, and Kyle Williams. Everyone else goes

Baker can stay.
Wilson and Raymond can stay.
Baker can decide who he wants on defense.
O L coach definitely needs to be replaced.

People forget how awful our secondary was in 2020 and 2021 during Raymond. 2020 was the worst defense in program history until 2023.

Remember, Raymond also got fired from Florida after he left LSU and was just sitting on the couch waiting for a team to call.

Let everyone go and let the new coach hire his staff as he seems fit.

I’m not sure why anyone would be too upset if we just cleaned house at this point. Quit retaining coaches who have shown you nothing but mediocre results.

Keep:
Baker
Peoples
Wilson
Raymond
Williams

Remove:
Davis
and the first one to be told to hit the street needs to be the Strength and conditioning coach and you back a brinks truck up to Moffits front door

Clean house completely if it means getting the coach we want.

Our last two coaches had to fight an AD forcing them to keep assistants and we see how that’s turned out.

This is a new era and we need to stop clinging to guys because they were here with Les Miles. We need to put it all behind us and start fresh.

Kyle Williams and Corey Raymond are the only two I think are absolute must keeps for the next staff. The rest we need to give the next Coach the ability to choose.

This is the result of hiring a safety coach and reducing Raymonds duties to only corners. The trade-off is worse communication between the positions.

The only coach who earns this much trust is Urban, Saban, Kiffin.

If its not one of these names, they should be required to keep Kyle and Raymond.

If we hire a good coach and he wins I don’t care if he fires everyone

IMHO, it would be better to completely revamp the staff than keep anyone on offense.

Having said that, if I was making the decision - I would get the best offensive head coach available. Hire the best QB coach you can find who will be an OC/QB who shares some playcalling duties with the head coach. And if that head coach is not inclined to keep Baker, I would target Brad White for DC. I would try to keep Raymond and Peoples. regardless

Don’t know, but that wasn’t the question.
Kelly couldn’t put it all together: O, D and ST. That doesn’t mean several components aren’t good.
