Ok well either way “We Will Rock You “ by Queen was blasting as the Tigers ran out on the field. Unacceptable.

And frick you.

It was a small snippet of the song, and when the team actually ran out the band was playing.

You heard a "We Will Rock You" remix for about 6-7 seconds as the video is playing and the team is standing in the tunnel and haven't left the locker room yet.

Sorry I have to call you out for exaggerating what really is happening.

The band isn't "quiet". The band simply hasn't grown with the stadium. Tigerband has been 325 members since well before my first year in 1999. Since then, we have had 2 stadium expansions. The stadium sits approximately 20% more people than it did then. The stadium is massive compared to the size of the band. That many people will drown them out.

You can hear the band on TV because there are mics around the stadium to catch the stadium noise for the viewers. Some stadiums actually reinforce their bands sound by mixing them up through the stadium speakers. If I remember correctly, Tennessee does this.

ETA Tigerband sounded really good on TV the past few games.

It was never good to begin with. How LSU can latch itself to something like that is beyond me.

And I’m not against rap, I’m only against bad rap.

Bubububut TAF says that is what people want......and that they are not doing anything any other SEC stadium is not doing.

Spoiled fanbase. Rather than enjoy and contribute to the atmosphere of a close game against an SEC rival it's

Holy shite Jayden Daniels sucks
Arkansas is shite
Why aren't we winning by 30
Brian Kelly is Les Miles
Fire Brian Kelly
Fire Matt House
What an awful team
Ole Miss is going to destroy us
Let's go home and I'll just finish this shite on TV

There's only a few games that are deemed worthy of playing a competitive game where we shouldn't be pissed off and sitting on our hands. See Alabama last year. Great atmosphere. Praised as the peak of what Tiger Stadium can be. But it was Alabama, we can play a close back and forth with them. Do it against this years Auburn and you've got a stale pissed off crowd.

It’s Auburn, that’s more than likely how it will be.

If tickets aren’t scanned for the game, there should be some rule that if your season tickets aren’t scanned for over 1/2 of the home games, you get a notice of the possibility of losing your season tickets for the following year. You get a 1 season notice and if it happens again in the 2nd year, the third year the seats go back into the available to purchase pool.

ETA: for those who remember when parking was mostly a free for all, park on the trees(the horror), the experience was much different from today.

I think the tree thing was just an excuse. Driving through campus on Highland on Gameday used to be an awesome spectacle. They killed all the good tailgating.

I sat on the LSU 45 midway up, and I could not clearly hear anything the announcer was saying. No speakers on the entire south side. I stayed till the end. Too many people left at half.

Same. We parked in lot 204 by Boyd Hall and got outta there with the quickness. Had a tougher time walking outta the stadium than driving down Dalrymple

Yep, dodging the “sawhorses” in the parking lots and navigating the trip to the car was the hard part. I was pleasantly surprised how we “escaped”.

If you would have taken a picture of the two end zones, you would see that they were packed. That is where the real fans are, not the people who get corporate tickets.

The student section was packed and they did not leave early.

I live within walking distance and have zero interest in going to any games due to the changes made to tailgating and how expensive everything in the stadium is

I’ll still contribute to TAF but it’ll be awhile before I go to another game

We spent almost 2 hours in traffic last night. Stayed until the end and the exit was miserable. We ubered on campus as an entry and rode with friends out (or rather crept down Dalrymple) and there was no place off campus to get dropped to get an Uber.

Stadium ran out of food. So we were starving. I ate a tub of fruit loops from the Exxon station at midnight.

So yeah, traffic matters. And a ride share lot off campus would be an amazing idea. Maybe off River road so that ride shares can get on and off campus. Lots of other campuses have them.

This ain’t the problem. Stadium was pretty full at the start. The parts that left were the old money that sits along the sidelines.

I could do with the band playing less. They are a fricking embarrassment.

Why miserable, overweight, high school educated Louisiana sports "fans" on this board feel it's their god given right to overly criticize everything sports related is beyond me.
It's called "Freedom of Speech" on a Message Board.

Freedom of Speech IS their God Given Right.

Reading this Board might not be a good activity for you if you can't tolerate opinions that are different than yours.

These post are exhausting. Death Valley was fine last night. Y’all people just want to live miserably.

It’s weird that some people feel embarrassed and shame at what other fans freely have the right to do, come and go as they please.

The teams performance is much more of a concern to me than fan attendance.

Inconsistent program - up and down so can’t catch momentum for fan excitement

Poor state - we don’t have as many potential customers to pay the sticker price

Loser mentality - LSU fans/Louisiana people are much more activated by being an underdog than a favorite.

None of this is true except that we are a poor state, which is irrelevant as far as attendance because only so many seats for a game.

The problem is the bleachers suck, the infrastructure around the stadium sucks, the band sucks, and the concessions suck.

No idea why anyone in their right mind would rather be there vs AC watching on a giant OLED with delicious food and friends instead of god knows who sitting behind you.

Seriously LSU and the state are reaping what they’ve sewn (particularly on infrastructure). But also… this is all around college football to an extent, not just here.

Idk how many times we gotta repeat this same discussion.
