As much as detest the NCAA, if you are stupid enough to bring a sample AND get caught, there have to be consequences.

That's my thing lol, the coaches know the different penalties, and I know for a fact they tell each player. It takes a special kind of stupid to get caught because there are tons of players who cheat. Jalen Collins cheated and failed multiple drug tests. But he never got caught by NCAA or had a year long suspension because he didn't pour urine into the cup lol

f this were the "darling" home school of the SEC, he would have already been cleared. Better yet, he would have never been suspended if he was needed on the team.
and the Bama obsession continues....

That's not how I understood it to be, but that could very well be the case.

What’s his history son? He messed up so you can rob and steal and get probation.

I am going to re-emphasize the fact that Fulton actually passed the test. This ruling needs to be overturned.

sure but poor decision making is what got him here
1) He's obviously still smoking weed despite a history of failing tests and being suspended as a result.
2) He's not even smart enough to know what he's being tested for, so he got popped for needlessly tampering with a test. Handle your business and you don't have to try and cheat.

its unfortunate but he has no one to blame but himself

eah it was dumb, very dumb but it was a teenager pouring fake pee into a test cup. It doesn’t deserve 2 years imo. IMO it should be 6 games and probabtion for 2 years.

I'm not taking up for him but it really wasn't that stupid considering he would have failed and missed a year. It says he was unaware of the penalties for subbing a sample. LSU should provide this information clearly to student athletes.

Fulton’s sample was 0.4 ng/ml above the NCAA’s THC threshold of 5 ng/ml at the time of that test.

Didnt Gordon get suspended for a very long time for weed? multiple weed failures?
Yeah he failed went on probabtion and kept failing. His time just kept escalating, which is fair.

Dude failed a test for weed in April

Kristian and Saivion were roommates and failed the same exact test. If Kristian would have went to JUCO and gone thru the recruiting process again, then IMO this would be a non issue. Saivion is now playing, and Kristian is being railroaded. I know this is a NCAA matter now. But LSU compliance isn't helping Kristian either.

The article made it sound like it was a test in April of this year.

Edit: it doesn't make it sound like it was April of this year, it outright says it

Fulton’s sample was 0.4 ng/ml above the NCAA’s THC threshold of 5 ng/ml at the time of that test. However, the NCAA’s THC threshold has already changed within the last year, increasing to 15 ng/ml, the same as LSU’s school threshold. Since his initial test 17 months ago, LSU has tested Fulton 30 times, Jackson said. In just one of those tests, in April of this year, did he register a THC count (7 ng/ml).

The test was for PEDS not weed. Fulton didn't fail the damn test. He also hasn't failed multiple drug tests like someone just suggested above.

And Savion is at the school that never has any kids suspended for weed even though multiple kids said they failed a shite ton of tests while at Bama. This is all so stupid.

Kristian didn't fail for steriods. He had THC in his system. Some of yall really need to read that article again. He got suspended for "cheating" the test.

That's correct. He did have traces in April, but it was below the new threshold of a positive test. By the new standard, both tests would have been below threshold. And the first test was for PEDs anyway.

I don’t know how it works, but the two-year suspension had better not count as eligibility years. If he’s suspended two years, then he should at least have two additional years of eligibility afterward.

It was in the article. One of the years counted as a redshirt, so he would still have 2 yrs left.

I know who you are: Do you feel like LSU is helping Kristian in his case? Do you feel like if Kristian was at another school he would be playing?

It also states that it was below threshold and thus not a true positive test.

Despite being busted for tampering & having THC in his system at the time, he continued to use or be around marijuana cause it showed up again in a later test. That is what the poster meant
